Beautiful cottage in Most Beautiful Village

  • Situated in one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France (it's an official title) within one of its most beautiful departments - Dordogne - this fully equipped cottage features 3 bedrooms, has 2 bathrooms for maximum convenience, a full kitchen, includes all linen & towels plus free Wifi.

    This cottage combines the benefit of village amenities with privacy, garden & fabulous views.

    Contains 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms for maximum convenience and sleeps 6 people (with a sofa bed that can sleep another 2).
    Wifi, linen and towels are all included, as is the fully equipped kitchen and washing machine.
    Free parking is available in the street at the front of the cottage.

    This charming cottage is bright, convenient and fully self-sufficient. It is intimate enough for 1 or 2 guests, and large enough to accommodate 6 guests.
    The spacious master bedroom has a large queen size bed and wonderful views over the valley and village, Second bedroom has a double bed with two singles in the Third bedroom.
    Two bathrooms - 1 on each level including shower.
    Large living room with TV and plenty of seating.
    Fully equipped kitchen with full oven and full size fridge with adjoining dining room.
    The balcony has a brilliant 180 degree view over garden below and valley beyond.

    This is a cottage to call your own, to use as a base for exploring the many delights of the Dordogne and Perigord region, and as a home in which to relax.

    All guests receive, upon booking, a comprehensive Guest Booklet with details on the cottage and things to find, do and see in the region.

    We also have holiday rental cottages available in Provence (La Galerie in Pernes-les-Fontaines) and Burgundy (Le Champ du Four in Trivy).

We had a fabulous week exploring Belves and the surrounding area - both absolutely stunning! The cottage is perfectly situated, just outside the centre of the village but with very easy access. The view from the balcony is amazing - as advertised. Thanks for a great stay.

The main disappointment is not having dishwasher

The house is just couple of minutes’ walk from the center of Belves. The view from the kitchen/dining room is magnificent. Everything was clean but requires some upgrades. The main disappointment is not having dishwasher.

Genuine rural French living experience

Nestled in the residential part of a small French hillside village, lovely valley views whilst having breakfast and evening wine & cheese on the balcony. Belves is a delightful little community with all the characteristics of typical rural life. The only disappointment was the village bakery had closed down so had to drive a short distance to pick up our morning croissants and baguette for breakfast. Seven days of great weather, a chateau wedding, visits to Sarlat (markets on Wed & Sat ) and Monpazier (Thurs ) are highly recommended, the latter having a lovely wineshop- bought some delightful local wines enjoyed on the balcony + supplies to bring home.

Maison avec une vue magnifique!

Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique dans cette maison. D'abord, la communication avec le propriétaire a été très agréable. Nous avons reçu toutes les informations utiles bien à l'avance. L'arrivée s'est très bien passée. Nous avons trouvé une maison suffisamment grande pour 6 personnes, bien que nous n'ayons été que 4 😊. Deux salles de bains et une machine à laver se sont révélées très pratiques. Mais le plus agréable, c'était le balcon offrant une vue magnifique sur la bastide de Belvès. Le village est bien placé pour les visites en Dordogne. N'oubliez pas de visiter le marché de Belvès qui a lieu tous les samedis. Merci pour l'accueil, nous serons ravis de revenir. Stunning views

The house is situated in a quiet street 10 minutes walk from the town square with shops, restaurants and bars. The house itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay and a balcony off the dining room with stunning views of the town and across the countryside. We spent much of our time in the house here as it was just such a beautiful view ! The master bedroom is large with a sitting area and TV it also provides great views of the local area. The sitting room was good to relax in with lots of seating and provided a cooler space when the weather was hot outside. Having the 'House Book' with information on how to use all the equipment in the kitchen and explaining how to operate the TV, DVD player etc was a great help. We very much appreciated the information we received from the host prior to our visit about things to do nearby. This information was also available in the house with lots of useful maps and suggestions. The host was super to work with answering our queries prior to arrival and providing the instructions on how to get to the property and gain access well in advance. We had a fantastic holiday and very much look forward to returning to Belves.

Great house in Perigord Noir

This house satisfies all the requirements for a relaxed, enjoyable stay: easy access by car with parking next to house. Lovely walk to mideaval central village with shops and restaurants. Great central location for day tripping. House is comfortable and functional but not fussy so you can relax and enjoy the space. Wonderful balcony with table overlooking the countryside for coffee/cocktails/dinner. The owners are fantastic to work with.

La maison est très bien située (à 5 minutes du bourg de Belvès), propre, spacieuse (les 2 salles de bain sont appréciables !), tous le nécessaire est présent pour être comme à la maison! La vue du balcon est magnifique. Merci aux propriétaires pour le petit classeur explicatif très utile, ils prennent soin de leurs locataires !

3 jours à Belvès

3 jours dans cette maison où il ne manque rien, et qui est très calme. Accès à pieds à la place du marché en 5 mn, proche de nombreux autres villages. Bon contact à distance avec les propriétaires qui sont réactifs.

Quirky house with amazing view

Great location with short walk to centre of very pretty village. Extremely well equipped quirky house with plenty of character. Perigord noir is an excellent location to visit. The communal meal in the market square in BELVES every Wednesday evening is not to be missed.
