  • Enjoy the views of a river cruise without leaving the couch! Our newly-remodeled apartment has picturesque views of the Fishhook River and Red Bridge. Take a stroll or bike ride down the Heartland trail, or head to the cutest downtown in all of MN - both just a few minutes walk away. Enjoy coffee or cocktails on your private patio, fish from the private dock, and don't forget to bring your fur babies along, too! Free laundry available on-site.

    We have a full kitchen and coffee bar for eating in. Get cozy in the private bedroom with attached bath. Additional sleeping space is available on the fold down couch. Across the river you will find Heartland Park, which features pickleball courts, a basketball court, playground, frisbee golf, and the Heartland trail, which is great for a short walk or longer bike ride. In winter months the trail is open for snowmobiles. The trail goes to neighboring towns including Dorset, Nevis and Walker. If you plan to bring any larger watercraft and need a landing, there is one located in the park also.

    The apartment is situated in the lower level of the building, which is also home to an office space on the main level. You will have a private entrance, patio, and dock which is completely separate from the business operations. The parking lot is shared during the regular work hours.

We loved the location. It truly was walking distance to downtown and to parks. The waterfront was exceptional and private. It was centrally located to things to see and convenience. Necessities were throughout in case you forgot something simple. The convertible sofa bed was quite comfortable. The wildlife was fun to watch (loons, mallard, muskrat & and an eagle). The breakfast cafe across the street was extremely good as were the burgers at The Royal. We also ate at the Minnesota Fountain with very generous portions. Itasca State Park was a quick drive away! The only feedback I have would be to either have a way to turn off the outdoor patio lights (on a timer) or to offer better window coverings. Alot of light shines inside for those who go to bed before the lights auto shut off. Also maybe some subtle night lights on the one step in the kitchen for anyone who might get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. We were overall very happy with our stay & would definitely return again.

Great location on the river, that is close to downtown and the bike trail. The patio view is beautiful and peaceful. The interior is clean, spacious and well supplied. Communication with Marie was very good.

In town, On the River

We did a little last-minute weekend getaway. We wanted to relax on the patio, explore downtown and hit Itasca State Park. This worked out great tHwas gr.whelpful

Peaceful get away

The place was nice with lots of room! Enjoyed morning coffee on the patio. Along with evening drinks while fishing off the dock! Biking on the bike trail to Dorset is only 6.5 miles one way. It’s even walking distance to Park Rapids downtown area. A very relaxing stay!

Loved the cute little area. Wish there were fish in the river to catch, think it was becoming too cold and fish were moving to warmer deeper water.

Park Rapids Perfection

The apartment could not have been more perfect for our stay. We came to PR to visit the Mississippi headwaters, and do some fishing (without a boat). The dock is a perfect spot to wet a line. In fact, it was the best fishing spot we found in the area to fish from shore! We caught a handful of very good sized bass right off the dock. We also swam in the river from the dock. It was wonderful - clean, cool water. The apartment itself is huge. It's super well stocked for anything you might need. Even has laundry, which we did take advantage of. That is such a nice perk. The AC kept the place nice and cool on a very hot weekend. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The bed is firm, but comfortable as well. Everything we needed was right there. You are in close walking distance to town, and we were able to visit several of the local spots for food and drink. The park around the corner is awesome for getting the dogs on their daily walks. If I had to criticize anything, it is that the building is on a very busy road. Thankfully, around the back where the apartment is, you can barely hear the cars - and once inside it is super quiet - you'd never guess that the traffic was so close. We knew from google streetview what we were signing up for. Absolutely NO issues with noise or bustle. It was very relaxing next to the river on the patio. If we are back in the area for some reason, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, we have already suggested it to some friends!

This is the perfect place to rent in Park Rapids. The host goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The location is on a river with beautiful views and is also a very easy walk to downtown which has many shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place and hope to stay again… thank you!
