I wish I could show pictures. I have put them on Google review. Our room (208) had so much mold in it. I am severely allergic to mold.
They did nothing about it, they could not reasonably accommodate us with a new room or even document this situation despite me asking them to.
All the suggestions they had either ruined our day plans or were unsafe. For example they offered to have the maids clean the mold but scrubbing black mold actually makes it worse because the spores get into the air so we did not let them do this. It needs to be professionally treated.
I woke up sick and tasting blood every morning. After we checked out they mentioned that someone else would be checking into that room. I am reporting this to the health and safety / consumer protection agencies in France. Definitely do not stay here. They have a really bad hygiene issue and the manager doesn’t seem to care.
We are working with Expedia now to resolve a refund from this property. I am still coughing and tasting blood even days after leaving and I’m sure it will last a few weeks. (This type of mold exposure always does, especially if you are allergic, and especially because it was not just a bit of mold, it was an alarming amount).
Genuinely unsafe and disgusting stay. It ruined the Paris part of our trip and the cities we visited after since the effects of the mold persisted. While the staff was kind, it is frustrating that all suggestions for help were extremely un-accommodating.
