"This was a nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't like how the TV was mounted. If you wanted to sit on the couch, the TV didn't swivel which was silly. Other than that, it was a nice stay. There was a lot of construction going on so there wasn't enough parking for everyone - hopefully when the construction is over that will be remedied."

"We travel a lot for business and stay in hotels throughout the state of Maine and this hotel was by far one of the worst we have stayed at. The hotel staff was beyond unhelpful. We got into town an hour early and asked if we could check in early - they said they would charge us an additional $50 for early check in. I have never had a hotel do that. There amenities were lacking - no microwave in the room, the only tea they offered was plain lipton. Everything was the cheapest they could get away...

"We booked a two day stay at the Hampton Inn in beautiful Kittery, ME. We chose the Hampton Inn because of its name and reputation as a fine chain. We discovered that it was pet- friendly, which is fine, but also discovered that pets are not limited to certain floors ( i.e. ground floor or first floor only) but are allowed throughout the entire facility. "The room was fine but the bed was not comfortable at all. It was very soft and if you have a bad back I would not recommend staying here. It was small but I expected it to be based on the pictures and the room we selected. The hotel is close to town so you can walk to most restaurants and shops. There was an issue with the air conditioner but it was addressed pretty quickly via a phone call and a reset of the system on-line."

"I was not impressed by this property for a few reasons: cleanliness wasn't great, the bedding was rough to the touch and frayed on the side, we only had 3 bath towels for 4 people in the room, and the air conditioning was not adequate for the hot weather. We could not adjust the temperature lower."

"Bar staff not the most attentive. Ordered sandwiches after a long ride and 20 minutes later when I went to pick them up, the order was never given to the cook. Bar staff was not going to say anything until I saw her entering in the order and called her out on it"
