Kicked out by police escort 3 hours after check-in — Vrbo sided with us and refunded everything.Within three hours of arriving, the host accused us of having too many guests — we didn't — and instead of simply verifying our headcount, the property managers refused to even discuss it and had police escort us off the property. Our group included two pregnant women, an elderly grandmother, and four small children, all forced to scramble for somewhere to sleep that night. Vrbo investigated, agreed the eviction was unjustified, and refunded us in full. That should tell you everything about who was in the right here.Even if we hadn't been thrown out, the property itself was a letdown:- Light fixtures hanging from the ceiling with exposed wiring — a genuine safety hazard, especially with kids around- Holes in the walls- Significantly smaller than the photos suggest; the listing pictures are misleading- Stairs so narrow they were difficult to use safely- Multiple cameras aimed directly at the pool area, which felt invasive and frankly creepy for a family rentalThe property managers were the worst part. When a simple two-minute conversation could have cleared up the guest count, they chose confrontation and called the police on a family with pregnant women and toddlers instead.Do not rent this property. If anything goes wrong — or if the host simply decides it has — you'll be treated like a criminal instead of a customer. Thankfully Vrbo made it right.
