Beach trip

Elevators were a nightmare. During busy check in hours elevators were ran by tidewater staff and they were very rude. My husband wanted on an elevator over 30 minutes trying to go down to ground level with the staff saying they were only going up when the elevator doors would open for him. We loved the fact beach chairs were included but I’ve never stayed at a condo were you had to go a rent them every morning that you wanted them. I was told if you want front row we open at 8 am and you better get down here at 7 am. Beach attendants were very rude. My son loves to play in the sand and dig and we we’re constantly being told what he could and couldn’t do digging in the sand. They also come by and ask your name and room number about 6 times a day “to make sure people are in the correct spots.” The condo was nice and spacious for our family of three but one swivel chair and barstools were stained. We loved the location and the property but will probably not stay again.

Condo is excellent.... Tidewater needs some work

We had a wonderful stay in 1009! The communication with the rental company, check-in process, and check-out were all fantastic. The unit was clean and well stocked. The only thing we couldn't find was a dust pan to help with sweeping up the sand. If this unit was at another property, we would definitely rent again! The Tidewater community was not what we remembered. Yes, it was summer and the busy season. However, one of the two parking deck elevators was down during our entire stay. Although there are no smoking and no fireworks signs everywhere, security would not do anything about the fireworks that were being shot on the beach nightly. One night they were landing on the balcony while we were sitting outside and the next night I was hit with falling pieces that were still hot while on the beach. The main elevators to the rooms weren't terrible given the busy times and going into it knowing we'd have to wait. All that to say, we loved staying in this unit, but the resort needs some work.

I loved this condo & its very spacious for family interactions. The only issue was the elevator being very slow during peak hours. The view was everything.

Loved the condo we were in and the location of the resort. Elevator wait time was horrible! There were plenty of elevators but only a few were working. Don’t understand why all of them aren’t working during peak times.

Beautiful condo

We had a great great stay at the condo. It was beautifully decorated, and the location was perfect. Just enough room for two of us. Double balcony is a bonus to look over the beach.

Beautiful Beach Stay

This condo is very well decorated and very comfortable. The view and location are amazing! We didn't have trouble with the elevators at all as others stated as an issue. We had just 2 things that were odd during our stay. 1. We arrived at 11pm and there was no one working the front desk. We had the garage code and door code but you can not access the elevator without a wristband. We had paid for the wristbands in advance but there was no way to get the wristbands at 11pm. Luckily a nice guest used his wristband to allow us access to the elevator or we would not have been able to access the condo that first night. 2. We have stayed at several beach rentals since covid. Most have a closet with beach toys, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. This condo has no extra items what so ever. There is no welcome basket of snacks, no welcome bottle of wine, no laundry pods or dish detergent. There is one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and no kleenex at all. This is a nice but bare bones rental with zero extra amenities. I would still rent this unit again because the views and location are just so amazing.

The property manager was great to work with! Decided to stay a few more days and she was amazing .

I would highly recommend this condo. Very updated and a great view overall experience was a 10 !! The only downside to this condo would be the elevator if you go during peak season .

Condo was nice. What is bad is the elevator at the Tidewater Resort. Would not recommend staying there, just because of the elevator. It sometimes takes 30+ minutes just to catch an elevator to go up or down.

Overall nice BUT..

The condo we stayed in was so nice. Great ocean view, HOWEVER the elevator situation needs to be worked out. Multiple times we (my husband, myself and our 6 & 3 year olds) had to walk up 10 flights of stairs because the elevators were either too packed with people or wouldn’t come at all. As much as it costs to stay there, you’d think there would be better accommodations to getting to the floors. Maybe there’s just too many people trying to use them. Either way, if you’re higher than the 10th floor, good luck to you. You’ll be waiting 20+ minutes for an elevator or you’ll be walking 30 flights of stairs.

We absolutely loved this room. The location is perfect for shopping/ eating. Having the beach chairs as part of the room was and amazing addition. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this condo. Would love to come back and stay again.

Great beach getaway

Our stay at Tidewater was great. We visited at the end of August and there were no crowds. The Tidewater staff was great, as well as the management company for 1009 Tidewater. The condo was extremely clean and the 10th floor condo was easy to get in and out of. We would definitely stay there again.

Condo so cute and cozy! We stayed on 10th floor and one time we waited 30 minutes for elevators! Average was 15 minutes as people had so much beach stuff to stuff in the elevator it couldn’t accommodate more passengers! First time for us to stay in high rise, usually we rent houses where we have to walk to the beach but have so much more privacy. Just preferences you will have to decide for yourself, however, this condo was great.

Fantastic!!!

Believe it or not this condo is even more beautiful in person! Check in and check out process was very easy and the owner was very accommodating. We always got a quick response anytime we had questions or comments. The view is absolutely beautiful and the closest condo to the water we’ve ever been in. Located in walking distance to the pier, restaurants and shopping. You will not regret choosing this unit! We look forward to going back and highly recommend Tidewater 1009. Thank you to the owner for offering such amazing accommodations.

Beautiful Beachy condo

Everything was just as described and looked just like the pictures. Loved all the updates and cute decor. Our only complaints were the master shower water only got lukewarm, all the other faucets got good and hot. It seems the faucet control in the walk-in shower is possibly installed incorrectly because it doesn’t turn all the way to the hot side, it isn’t hot at all. Also, there were “dust bunnies” under the beds and the couches etc. and the floors were filthy. It seems the cleaning crew did an “okay” job but I wouldn't say they do great.
