Dying Palm Trees, outdated furnishings, accessible room with substandard doors that lock you into bathroom and cannot get out. Management claiming to be ordering new door fixtures to prevent this. I had an elderly patient agitated, and told of handicapped person locked in and pounded on walls until someone notified desk that someone needed help. When I was checking in as an honors member I had hospice patient sitting in lobby for an hour only to tell me later I could have had an accessible room but chose to wait until just before 4pm to tell me. Needed another night and thankfully was toldto reserve room via expedia vs hilton or AAA I paid 100 more for the night before. I guess I should Thank you? But both Karissma and Christina allowed me to wait in the lobby u til just before 4 and never offered the lower rate until I needed another night to keep a patient safe. Smiled, friendly, byt really? Maintenance and housekeeping were a wealth of information. The only reason I still stay with Hilton is the few properties that offer 2 bd 2 bathroom units I require for treating hospice patients to a Palm Springs escape from the hospital beds they are confined to. When you have 6 months or less to live, make it count.
