Not a Health Centre, but a Sanitorium for ill folk

This property is an old hospital recently (and very well) renovated, but is in reality a sanitorium/- convalescence place for seriously ill folk (many of which have had surgery) stumbling around bandaged, using walkers, wheelchairs, etc., helped by blue gowned nurses. The place has a clinical atmosphere with tiled floors and ceilings and a real rabbit warren. It may well be a 3 star recuperation centre, but offers only mediocre "hotel" service, i.e. breakfast is the most basic possible, but coffee is ok. Open 0800 to 1000hrs and dishes never replenished after 0930hrs. The place is a canteen for any meal - there are no restaurants and meals are at set times. There are no bars and told no alcohol except in the outside establishment (that was now closed for the summer). The pool is only available during breakfast hours and from 1900hrs for 2 hrs as it is used for patient water therapy during the day. We complained and got an upgrade to a "suite" with a loose bathroom sink and malfunctioning tap. Flooring was laminate or vinyl and bitterly cold underfoot, with no possibility of wiping ones' feet. The bed was circular with ill fitting sheets (from the 60's !) and very uncomfortable. We were asked not to give a poor review and they gave my lady two massage sessions - we expected a masseuse, but it was 2 x 20 minutes in a vibrating water "bed". Miles from anywhere, the beach, even in season, has no amenities, although the bracing sea air was in abundance & free. Totally overpriced !

Not a place to go with kids. Spa?? Pool was open from 5 to 6 pm. Sauna was open one hour at the morning. No worth of money!

En besvikelse, verkligen inte värt pengarna...

Hemskt boende. Det kallas 3 stjärnigt men var i Västeuropa standard 1 stjärnigt. Alla hostels vi har bott på har varit av bättre standard. Smuttsigt rum och allmän utrymme. Vår son blev alldeles svart när han lekte på golvet. Rummet hade inte handdukar åt oss alla och personalen spelade oförstående när vi ville få det kompletterat. Men nästa dag fick vi handdukar. Spa avdelningen med bad var i allafall bra.

Ikke hotell, men helsesenter

Stedet er ikke hotell, men en helse senter med passejenter overalt . Plasseringen i forhold til stranden veldig fint men avstanden til nærmeste butikk er langt. Personale var hyggelige, men hadde problemer med språket. Frokosten var elendig. Alle bestikk var sitten. Vi har bestilt 2 netter, men forlat sentere etter første overnatting. Anbefales ikke i hele tatt.

Nekompetentinga administratorė, kuri nesugeba net tinkamai atsakyti, ar rezervacija yra, ar jos nėra. Klaidina klientus, nemandagiai elgiasi, o padarytos klaidos nepripažįsta, nors faktai kalba patys už save ir nesugeba net atsiprašyti...Tokie asmenys paslaugų sektoriuje dirbti negali, jei mokant tokius didelius pinigus su viešbučio svečiais elgiamasi itin grubiai ir nemandagiai.

Detta är inget hotell

Detta är inte ett hotell utan ett slags institution. Vi betalade ändå över 70 Euro för en natt. Vi blev erbjudna att bo i en ny byggnad - om vi betalade dubbelt pris. Det tackade vi nej till så vi fick bo i en gammal byggnad som mest påminde om ett ålderdomshem. Det luktade gammal urin i rummet. Frukosten bestod av matrester av olika slag. Matsalen var slamrig och stökig och kändes mest som en skolmatsal. Läget vid stranden är fint, men jag kan inte rekommendera detta ställe. Inte för det priset.

Schlechter Service beim Frühstück. Zuerst sollten wir in einem Billigzimmer untergebracht werden. Das Frühstück war sehr übersichtlich. Zum Strand waren es ca. 100m. Schöner Sandstrand. Von einem 3***-Hotel weit entfernt. Es waren wenig Gäste anwesend.

Energetikas was overbooked

We booked originally the Health Center Energetikas, but when we arrived they did not have any rooms for us. Keep in mind, the Energetikas is a health resort in the first place and they had many patients that summer. They did a great job by switching us over to the Amber Palace across the street. For breakfast we still had to go back to the Energetikas, but was not really an issue. The Amber Palace is of course a brand new hotel with comfortable rooms. Although it is lacking air conditioning and you have to climb up about 13 stairs with suitcases to get to the reception area.

Einfache Unterkunft in Flughafennähe

Ordentliches und sauberes Zimmer mitten in einem Health Center (Nachbarn Patienten), welches die Atmosphäre prägt. Langer Weg zum Zimmer durch Health Center-Flure. Das Personal war mit Einzelheiten der Buchung nicht vertraut, was längere Gespräche erforderte.

Deja, bet mūsų kelionė neįvyko, išvakarėse pasiskambinau pasitikslinti ar viskas gerai su rezervacija, ar tikrai galim atvykti, bet registratūroje nerado užsakymo mano pavarde, pažadėjo išsiaiškinti...Pralaukėm apie parą, jokių žinių nebuvo, tad išvažiavom į Palangą. Tad ne kokie mano pirmi įspūdžiai apie "Energetiką"...

Ainoa paikka Euroopan kierroksella, ettei wifi- toiminut huoneissa. Ainostaan alhaalla infon vieressä oli tietokoneet, mitä voi käyttää. Huoneet pieniä ja ensimmäisessä huoneessa viemärit tukossa, että joutui vaihtamaan huonetta, ei voinut käydä suihkussa.

Не советую для семей с детьми.

Месторасположение хорошее.С одной стороны море с другой речка.Торговая улица с всякими развлечениями тоже рядом.Номера в отеле не оборудованны как заявленно в бронировании кухней и холодильником.Хотя бы мини холодильник поставили.Персонал на рецепции грубый и обслуживание ужастное.Приготовтесь к тому , что это больница для пожилых пациентов,и люди на колясках и с котетарами прогуливаются по коридорам.А также для тех кто путешествует с животными - животные к проживанию не допускаются.Хотя в описании отеля об этом ни чего не сказанно и имеется графа об отдельно оплачиваемх услугах.Мы приехали с маленькой собачкой.На рецепции кроме варианта оплатить бронирование и уехать больше не было .Хотя в дальнейшем мы видели жильцов в отеле с маленькими собачками.

It is a funky place, clean, nice but different

In the USA we haven't had recovery spas as part of our medical system since the early 1900's, this is a medical rehab/recovery facility with extra rooms available. It is a short walk to a nice beach and a short walk to the resort village/boardewalk scene of Sventoje. If you can imagine a hospital Physical Therapy suite having overnight rooms then you may be able to visualize this place. The rooms are clean and nice but plain, and in keeping with their rehab mission they have pools, excercise rooms, massage facilities, but no WiFi or Internet and limited TV. The on site cafe does not take credit cards, so you need to have the correct currency, it does stay open late (10pm) and it has a bar and good food. The breakfast buffet is nice with a fairly wide range of hot and cold foods, juices, coffee, kefir, etc. They are a few 100 feet off the bike route from Latvia to Kaliningrad and about a mile off of Via Baltica in a beautiful natural setting, we saw Swans and Storks while bicycling in from the highway (we didn't know about the bike route yet). The staff has excellent English speaking skills and was really friendly. They seem to be doing a lot of remodeling so I'm guessing things will get fancier. Our room had a balcony overlooking the forest and we could hear the waves crashing on the beach beyond the trees. They had a funny suspension bridge where people crowd each other in both directions to get into the village of Sventoje, ther is a normal bridge about a mile further south

Hotellet er oplagt beregnet til et litauisk/russisk publikum. Personalets engelskkundskaber er yderst begrænsede og al skriftlig information er på litauisk og russisk. Det forekommer at være en sovjetisk tidslomme med udstrakt bureaukrati, hvor man eksempelvis får nøgle udleveret et sted og betaler et andet. Nedslidningsgraden er overvældende, men stranden og naturen fantastisk.

Dicht an der Ostsee

großer Komplex, gut zu finden, ruhig gelegen, dicht an der Ostsee, wird gerade renoviert, Zimmer renoviert, von außen zum Teil noch nicht, Frühstück ausreichend, ruhiges Haus, gepflegte Außenanlagen mit interessanten Plastiken aus Stein, nicht weit vom Ort Sventoij, angemessenes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, Buchung war bekannt bei Ankunft, ohne Probleme beim Einchecken, englische Verständigung.

Hotel energetikas

Hotel nie znajduje się w Pałandze tylko 13 km za nią, pokój w którym spaliśmy miał rzeczywiście wysoki standard, lecz reszta "hotelu" przypomina raczej szpital czy uzdrowisko. Plaża była bardzo blisko więc to duży plus, na hotels.com zamieszczono informację, iż internet jest w pokoju natomiast na miejscu okazało się, że kosztuje 5 litów za 12h. Ogólnie polecam.
