South Devon has much to offer including Paignton with its steam railway, which will take you to Dartmouth. The award-winning Paignton Zoo makes a great day out for the whole family, and there are sandy beaches at Goodrington and Paignton. Take a trip to Brixham and nearby Dartmouth to see the castle and take a boat trip around the bay. Torquay has a theatre with many shows, the Living Coasts (a coastal zoo) is ideal for a family day out, and there are also many NT properties close by including Agatha Christie’s summer home Greenway.
