The property was as advertised. It was clean, beds were comfy and space was what we needed for the weekend. Initially, we were skeptical as the front walk, driveway and back walkway weren't plowed and we had to shovel to get in. Also, the property was advertised as a 3 bedroom space but 2 of the 3 rooms were locked when we first arrived. However, Lionel responded quickly and we were able to unlock the rooms and later the driveway and walkway were taken care of. So the initial negatives were nullified by his quick response. So overall a positive experience due to Lionel's quick response. My only comment would be for him to be more mindful that as a host you have one opportunity to make a positive first impression and this weekend he fell short.

Pet friendly, but the screen doors don't close properly and some of the window frames are lose. Also the freezer wasn't working properly so a bunch of my food went bad.

le propriétaire a écrit l'adresse et le code d'entrée de l'immeuble, 44 minutes avant notre arrivée à Gatineau. L'endroit nécessite des réparations. l'escalier n'a aucune rampe pour se soutenir. Aucune instruction pour se servir du téléviseur. Il n'est pas mentionné que la cafetière nécessite des dosettes. Il n'y a que 3 chaises à la cuisine. Je crois que VRBO devrait inspecter cet endroit

Came with 7 people - 2 adults, 3 teens, toddler and a baby. This place is not charming. Advertises as 7 person but there is no sleeping arrangments for the 7th person so we had to use a broken couch. The place is filthy and mouldy and the garbages didnt even have bags. The freezer didnt shut causing water to pool in the fridge. The kitchen sink is leaking and didnt have a drain so that we had to wash up in a pan. The sink and shower were both plugged and took about 5 minutes to drain. Main floor bathroom didnt lock. There were not enough dishes and cutlery or chairs for our group of seven and the pans were all warped so you couldnt use them. The main room bedframe is not put together properly and the slats fell apart in the middle of the night waking everyone up. One if the nedrooms didnt have a latch so the door couldn't latch. We had to go out and buy our own cleaning supplies to wipe things down before using anything and didnt trust that the sheets were cleaned so washed it all before using. Neighbour enjoys a joint daily so couldnt open the windows and the place was hot. Would definately not recommend and would have found a new place but couldn't find another place on short notice for us all since it was a long weekend. But at least we left the place 100% cleaner than when we came.

We arrived after driving 1,000 miles to visit our daughter in Ottawa and were eager to cool off and get settled after a very humid and hot day of driving. We selected this location because it stated that it had air conditioning. Upon entering the house we noticed that it was hot, sticky and smelly. We went up to the second floor to see the bedrooms and the heat in the upper level was unbearable. No a/c on the second floor, just open windows (some with holes in the screens) and rickety fans blowing hot air around the ceiling. We immediately tried to contact the owner and stated that the description of the place claimed to have air conditioning; no mention of the lack of air on the second floor. We texted the owner to say that we weren't staying there and that we expected a full refund, then left after 20 minutes. I have been in contact with the owner and VRBO customer service to get a refund. Meanwhile the owner changed the description after I complained so now the lack of A/C on the second floor is noted. I am still waiting for a refund after we had to find another place to stay at the last minute. This person should be ashamed of the misleading presentation of the property and the refusal to provide a full refund.

Hello,Thank you for reaching out regarding my stay in Gatineau.My stay was very unpleasant. This place is unsafe, it smell like people were using illegal substance, the kitchen had no hand towels the lights in the room is not working. This unit was advertise it has AC there is no ac in the upstairs. One night the room we slept in went to 80 deg f. I texted the owner and nothing was done. We had to sleep in sweltering heat very uncomfortable.looks like there is bed bugs we got allot of bites. the fridge does not work properly. One room smell very bad moldy smelly. We had to check out at 5 am because the heat and discomfort. the room door has locks with pin code the room we stayed in will lock suddenly.This place is unfit for rental I will like to report to this place.Regards

Trop desuet

Les infos recues on permis de bien arriver et s'installer. Endroit peu rénové,très désuet et rudimentaire sauf codes pour portes et Wifi.Le logement etait très chaud et sentait le renfermé. Mais la propreté des lieux était acceptable( plancher,toilette comptoirs)Deco, coussin,tapis, recouvrement du couvercle de toilettes et tout nous a un peu mis sur nos gardes. Divan complètement affaisse et bois du cadre a failli nous blesser en s'asseyant. Aucune srviette ou essui main trouvé .Lits tres vieux mais on arrive à bien dormir. Vieux mini patio pas invitant. Poignees de porte chambre et 1 moulure tombentDes modifications sont nécessaires pour charger un tel prix dans un site pas tant fréquenté

The property was exactly what we wanted.Easy access, safe and close to location of the event we were attending. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well kept. If ther was anything negative to say it would probably be the mattresses. A little worn.
