"Gurung's Home has truly become my home away from home. I stay here - nowhere else! - whenever i'm in Kathmandu. The staff is the family, and they are so welcoming, and able to help me with my transportation issues. It is a little bit hard for the taxis to find the address, because Google Maps directs them to a pedestrian street. But about five minutes out of the way, and you can find it. The location is cool because the bustling city is right nearby, but the hotel is on a quiet side street....

" Kathmandu Peace Home is a clean and budget-friendly place near Thamel but away from the noise. Rooms are simple, comfortable, and good value for money wifi and hot water 24 hour available. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooftop area is a nice spot to relax. Some guests mention slow WiFi and occasional street noise, but overall it’s a great choice for budget travelers looking for peace and convenience in Kathmandu."

"A very good stay in Kathmandu! The staff is very helpful - and we felt very well treated by them during our visit. E.g. we had been on a morning Mountain flight, where they had given us a breakfast package. They also gave us breakfast when we got back from the flight. The rooms are comfy and the breakfast is fully OK - and with superb coffee. We definitely recommend this hotel!"

"First time for us to Nepal and we stayed 2 nights at Kathmandu Garden Home Hotel before trekking to EBC. Comfort bed, wide room, responsive staffs. Delicious Breakfast gave us more energy before doing long trip. "

"Wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu, it’s close to Thamel and a lot of historical sites. Nice and clean room. Mr. Hari - the owner - was so helpful. He’s provided necessary information about Kathmandu tours, booked taxi, great talks, bring me to tourist agency to booking air ticket for Everest seeing… Feel like home. Highly recommended to everyone,"
