"I very rarely leave reviews but Ishq was exceptional. If you are looking for an alternative to big, chain hotels this small, intimate property is perfect. Beautiful rooms and spaces with personal service. Food exceptional. Thanks Darshana."

"I spent 4 nights in the hotel. The service was superb and the facilities are amazing."

"La habitación está bien"

"we stayed 3 nights in room 11. it s a small guest house with basic but comfortable rooms . good location walking distance from gangaramaya temple, good breakfast , excellent dinner and extremely kind and helpfull staff. only con: the tuk tuk guy who waits just off the hotel gate . he asks double or triple price for every trip you might be interested in. just ignore him and walk 3 minutes to the main road where metered tuk are available"

"I have travelled the World extensively, and this property is possibly my favourite of any I have stayed in. It maintains old world colonial character and charm, with its very high standards, excellent staff, and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We stayed 8 years ago and have been planning g a return since. "Delicious breakfast, location, views, and history incomparable , it really transports you back to the old times"

"Precioso hotel decorado de manera exquisita, nuevo (es del 2024), la atención magnífica, la cena buffet genial, un hotelazo que merece la pena conocer. Es un lujazo acabar el viaje de Sri Lanka en ese hotel. Altisimamente recomendable. "

It's probably now my joint favourite alongside the Hilton Colombo Residences. It is superior to the Shangri-La (where the rooms are shoeboxes and the feeling is sterile) and Mt Lavinia (which seems too obsequious to a colonial past!). The lobby area is great and I felt like spending a lot of time there. The vibe feels more high end Sri...
