Cosy cottage with a touch of luxury

  • Traditional small stone cottage fully refurbished to a high standard. Dairy Cottage us tucked away out if sight facing the hills of Saddleworth. It is only 2 minutes walk to the pretty village centre with shops, cafes, pubs within easy walking reach. Beautiful romantic bedroom with French double bed & stunning views. Well equipped kitchen/living area with integrated fridge, full size oven, induction double hob, coffee pod machine, microwave & dualit appliances. (No washing machine) lounge area with TV & lovely fireplace (electric logs). The cottage is ideal for a couple - the bedroom sleeps 2 in a double bed, Brand new high spec shower room with designer shower, toilet & basin. The bedroom and shower room are totally separate from the living room with a locking door. The shower room does form part of the bedroom but is separated by a wall (see photos) but no door - there is a curtain which can be put up for extra privacy if required. Private sun trap patio outside with uninterrupted views of the hills with table and chairs to enjoy your breakfast or glass of wine outside. Free 4G WIFI. Extra garden chairs under the bed. Iron and ironing board. Hairdryer in bedroom drawers. 2 x fold-up tables Towels and bed linen provided. Basic food items are in the cottage : salt, pepper, cooking oil, sugar, sauces etc. Tea and coffee provided

Check in was easy and the cottage clean and warm on arrival. It is small, but was perfect for 2 of us with everything we needed for 2 nights. Shower was hot and powerful. Sofa was a bit uncomfortable to sit on but not a problem. There is a public footpath that runs past the front door but we only saw one person all weekend. We did spot a deer through the kitchen window which was lovely to see. We did some lovely walks from the cottage. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend or stay again. Thank you

Although we had an issue with the lock box , owners came to the rescue and we were soon able to check in. Great location for what we needed to visit our friends form 20 years ago, quick uber ride home

Ideal getaway break

Cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage set in a friendly village and lovely surroundings. Perfect getaway break. Good value for money. We had a lovely time and would happily go back.

Property was lovely, small and secluded. Cost was good value, and facilities were great. Only small criticism is parking on a very busy road away from the property.

Lovely small cottage but perfect location

Very private and although small it has everything you need for a short stay. Gorgeous shower, lovely fittings. It's quirky but with a modern twist. We used both beds and found them quite comfortable especially the double. Especially quiet and peaceful.

The property was ideal for a couple to use as a base. It was well equipped and tastefully decorated. Parking was on the road a short walk up a steep driveway- fine for us - not so for anyone with mobility issues. What let this property down was cleanliness. I had to clean the toilet! There were some stains on the shower screen next to the toilet. There were also some hairs that hadn’t been cleaned away and some surfaces eg. the shelves where the cups/ glasses were kept needed dusting as did the toilet cistern.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, really well presented. It was only a brief stay but I found it very peaceful, comfortable and I slept really well!! ( I don’t normally when away from home ) Hosts welcoming and very informative on parking nearby and directions for entering the property. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, thank you!
