This unit has a fully furnished kitchen, free WIFI, Smart TV and queen size bed. (no living room) Cute bath with standup shower. Big covered dock, fish cleaning station with water/electric and plenty of space to dock your boat! Perfect location for visiting the area for one of our many fishing tournaments! Close to everything - restaurants, shopping, golf courses, etc. Boat to Burger King & grab a bite or boat to the VFW and/or Back to Butch’s to enjoy a cold mug! Ideal for those seeking a FISHERMAN’S GET-A-WAY or a peaceful retreat with easy access to the lake and all the comforts of home! Bring your fishing poles, cast a line and stay a while! Plenty of room to park your truck and your boat!

Please be respectful to ALL guest and respect quiet hours from 9PM to 7AM. SMOKING/VAPING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE PROPERTY!
NO SWIMMING or water entry at any time. Dock/Pavilion use is at your own risk. Boats may tie up to the dock. Please use boat fenders/bumpers.

Great place for a quite getaway. It was a sweet little cozy cottage,clean and fully stocked with all you will need. Just bring food. I forgot to get coffee but to my surprise there was some in the cabinet. If you love to freshwater fish this is the place for you. We will definitely come back again.

Great place to stay

we went for a hunting trip and we should have brought our fishing poles! This is a cool place right on a canal leading to the lake. We cooked steaks under the pavilion and enjoyed the breeze and scenery…. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Pleasant and Practical Hospitality

A caring and congenial host, Cheryl responded quickly to any need. We were out and about the better part of most days during our month-long stay, yet we still appreciated the kitchen and laundry appliances. The neighborhood is quite and the location convenient to shopping and other features of the surrounding area. This is a “just right” option for 1 or 2 guests looking for budget-friendly lodging in Okeechobee, Florida.

Great value for a fishing vacation!

It’s listed as an efficiency but it has a full kitchen. It doesn’t have Chrystal chandeliers, but I would bet there isn’t a better value for your dollar in the entire Okechobee area. Cheryl is a great host. You quickly come to understand why her guests become regulars. Yvette and I stayed 19 days in the efficiency and were very comfortable there. We have reserved Cheryl’s two bedroom unit for the first week of April. If you like birds: from the dock we saw: Pelicans, coots, white storks, pileated woodpeckers, cormorants, many different ducks, great blue herons, great egrets, snowy egrets, cattle egrets, white ibis, little blue herons, and a bunch more. Also be sure to watch across the canal at 5:00 PM when the neighbors’ fish feeder goes off. pandemonium! Have fun!

Three Week Stay at Fisherman's Paradise

Cheryl was great and the small efficiency has everything you need. The value was good! We would stay again. A couple of things to know, access to Lake Okeechobee is via a canal and lock. For all but two days of our stay, the lock was under repair by the Army Corp of Engineers. This meant we trailered our boat daily to launch onto the lake. Naturally, this isn't controlled by the the owners but it does impact the expected convenience of the dock. I think this is rare occurrence. - The covered dock and boat parking is shared with the other adjacent unit. (This is disclosed.) Boat parking at the dock could be tight. We did enjoy sitting at the dock and watching the pelicans and turtles. The other renters did too! We really enjoyed them but this shared use might not be for everyone.
