McCarthy Beach House

Location was absolutely amazing. Everyone in our family had a place to sleep comfortably. Close to the beach/dunes. Would stay there again.

This is such fun and welcoming house with a homey feel. The roof top alone is worth staying there. We had a few guests and grilled, everyone loved the fire-pit and general vibe. The house was clean and worked well. I’m glad the first place I booked got double booked and cancelled, This one couldn’t have been better for us. So happy.

Pismo stay

A very nice floor layout for a larger group of people, basically to living rooms, 2 kitchens but we only used one, a nice big dining table to seat 12 - cozy but nice. Nice baths but no upscale tub ~ a jacuzzi would have been nice. Nice roof patio with table, chairs bbq, fire pit.

Space for Kids and Adults

Check in was super easy and fast. When we arrived at the property it appeared as though the dining room table and kitchen floor had not been cleaned. This did make us nervous especially due to COVID. There were several broken items in the house, a broken chair, broken blind valance, broken toilet paper holder and some broken outdoor patio furniture that we wish had been fixed before our arrival. The upstairs living room furniture is getting dingy from use and could be replaced and the upstairs sofa sleeper is not really useable for sleep. The location is a two minute walk to beach which is amazing! It is the section of the beach that allows motor vehicles so if you have little kids keep an eye on them! The kitchen was well stocked, tons of bathroom towels were provided. The amenities for kids from sand toys to ping pong, movies and foosball were all very fun! The washer and dryer are new and excellent. The walk to the local market is quick and the local Mexican food restaurant is FABULOUS! We really enjoyed the split floor plan... our teenagers basically had a whole apartment to themselves downstairs allowing the adults a quiet area to converse. Overall it was a good space to stay!

House was great - Neighborhood not as expected

The house in Oceano was great. Well stocked, and all of the amenities were good and the house was comfortable. We were walking distance to the beach, which was super fun. The check in and support from the management company was spot on, and they even came out to bring detergent, so very responsive. The neighborhood was not what we expected. Surrounding the house were a few open lots, uninhabited homes, and lots of garbage and junk all around.

Best Beach House

We loved this place! It was large, super close to the beach, and in a great location. The beds were comfy and the large living areas were great for our group. The Harry Potter closet was a hit too! We will definitely come back to this place.

Perfect location

Excellent find for a last minute get away. I was a little skeptical because there was not a review but I was pleasantly surprised. The property is very clean, well kept and very spacious. The 2 kitchens are well stocked and have everything you need. The roof top deck was very relaxing and comfortable. I would have loved a chaise lounger to be able to lay in the sun but that’s ok. Overall it’s a great property, less than 10 minute walk to the beach and has all the comforts of home.
