"The room was the best we had on our trip. It had shampoo, conditioner, soap in both the sink area and the shower. There was cold water and milk in the refrigerator and coffee/ tea. There was also a heated towel rack and great big towels. They also provided a shower cap. It was large enough that you could both move around the room. Highly recommend"

"An absolute gem of a property - from rooms, bar, dining room and staff. Wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a dinner there as well. Chef is very talented! The views of boats in the bay and the shoreline of Oban are spectacular from this property. Highly recommend."

"first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. we could not open the windows as it was right on the road with lot of traffic noise. a small fan was provided which was not helpful"

"No lift or mini fridge. It would be difficult for someone in poor physical condition to make it up the spiral staircase to the rooms. They were fine for us - even after a couple whiskeys! The room was very cute and clean. It was obvious upgrades had been made to the plumbing. Not perfect but very nice and we really enjoyed the restaurant/bar downstairs. Great entertainment and knowledge of whiskey. The only bar we went into that had Scottish music!"

"The room is spotlessly clean and check in was easy. This is so efficient! Guests should understand there is no outdoor space and you access the building electronically. There are no windows (which was a blessing because it is dark and quiet for a good night's sleep). It is steps from the train, bus and ferry terminals as well as close to the best seafood in Scotland. Hang out at an outdoor table at a nearby pub, enjoy the people watching, and go have a good night's rest before your next day's...

"It’s a 100 year old property so expect to walk up stairs, it’s expected and they have done some renovations. The property smells moldy, the bed is horrible, super cheap pillows-they covered the bed in a plastic sheet which made you sweat all night and couldn’t keep windows open because of traffic. "I very much appreciated the personal welcome, not just receiving access codes via a text. Janet, the manager, was very welcoming and exceptionally friendly. The room and the house were clean and had a warm flowery scent. I was lucky to have been given a room with a direct view to the sea. This made it even more pleasurable to sit in the armchair and drink my morning coffee and night drink.
