This home provides a shared pool with barbecue facilities, a front porch with mountain views, a living area. Bath with an en suite bathroom in bedroom located upstairs, and 1/2 bath down stairs. Free wi-fi is on the property available.
Located 4 miles from Bass Lake, 15 miles from Yosemite National Park's southern entrance and 3 miles from the town center of Oakhurst. This home is located on 3 acres of wooded oaks.

I booked this property hoping the owner of this property had read the previous bad reviews posted and fixed things. Nope, same old rusty furniture and not clean at all and the restroom on the bottom floor had a really, really bad smell!! My family and I decided to leave the same night cuz we just couldn’t.

Worst experience!

This was by far the worst experience in so many ways. If you go through the reviews first you can save yourself a major problem. I failed to do that on my end. We showed up at the location that was unsanitary and it felt very unsafe especially for our 4 year old son. This property does not follow COVID-19 guidelines or any sanitary guidelines at all. I tried reaching out for assistance and received no help at all. We had to pack up and look for somewhere else to stay because safety for my family comes first. I hope that in reading my review it saves you time, energy and money. He has not responded to us in regards to any issues or refund. Currently working with the company to resolve this matter: thanks for reading.

Glamping on a budget

If you want to stay close to Yosemite and Bass Lake but do not want to camp and have a small budget, this is a good spot. This house does not have a stove and does not have big fridge. It is 5 mins from town so you can easily pick up food. So you will not need to worry about cooking or washing dishes. We brought our own paper plates. The AC is strong, so you don't have to worry about it being hot. It shares a pool with two other houses, but it felt like we had the pool all to ourselves. Here's a bonus, we found 4 tree frogs in our toilet's water tank, we brought them home for a Souvenir. There may be one left for the next guest! Overall, we were happy we had a roof over our heads and had AC and pool, we made good family memories.

Literally The Worst Place I've Ever Stayed

Do not stay here. If you don't have time to read this entire review, just take this away: don't stay here. If it's the only vacation rental available, opt for a hotel. We booked for 2 nights and left after 1, and the only reason we stayed the 1 night is because it was after 10:30 p.m. and I have young kids, and we just couldn't go somewhere else that late. I booked this place because we took a road trip on a bit of a whim, and it was the only one left. Foolishly, I decided to overlook the previous horrible reviews and give it a chance. HEED THE REVIEWS! The owner would not give me any kind of refund despite all the problems - in fact, the owner never returned any of my communication following our 1 night. So I am out a good chunk of $$$ for a 2 night booking in a place that should not exist as a vacation rental. You should be able to tell from the other reviews that the owner is not interested in actual hospitality. Here is just a short list of some issues: 1. It smells bad. Like, unbearably bad. I suspect this is due to the couches, which leads me to 2. The couches are disgusting. I am not a germaphobe/neat freak, but I wouldn't let my kids sit on any of the couches. They look like they were snatched up from a hotel from the 80's that allowed smoking that gave them away for free. 3. The only bedding provided for the bunk beds was a flat sheet and a dirty comforter. No top sheet or blankets. 4. The balusters (the vertical posts on the stair rail) on the stairs are wide enough apart that I could (and did) climb through them myself. Did not notice this until my 1 year old was sitting on the top step with his body hanging through. 5. The bottom horizontal deck rail on both the balcony and the lower deck is also wide enough that I could (and did) climb through it. 6. Too many broken things to list - nowhere to hang even 1 towel or toilet paper roll, both bathroom fans broken, nightstand broken, more. 7. The place was just not clean. It had obviously been cleaned, and the linens were clean (minus the comforters, which have likely never been cleaned since they were rescued from that same 80's motel), but the rest was cleaned to a standard of someone who has never learned how to properly clean. Including mildew, soap scum, hair and dirty in the shower; every single glass/mirror surface; night stand; walls; more. Do yourself a favor and just don't stay here.

False advertisement

When we arrived at the location given it was not the place we had reserved. I called the man and he told us we were upgraded. However the place we were at was disgusting, the tv didn't work, there was broken furniture and holes in the window. He told me he would send somebody out to fix the tv. After waiting an hour and no update, there was no person to fix the tv, I called him and text him back and he wouldn't respond. I left and asked for a refund and never heard back. Luckily my bank helped me out. Worst place ever.

Getaway

This was a quite place to relax. The only problem I had was that they had no stove and a mini refrigerator that didn’t work. They had a small travel camping stove. We took a ton of food and had to toss most of it away. No dish soap to wash dishes only tiny motel bar soaps. The pool was dirty with leaves.

Based on other review on 2017 seems that these people don't care about fixing stuff on this property. My experience was a nightmare. -We got to property at time of check in 4pm as shown on VRVO and Home Away. I usually check every property I rent, this one was a complete nasty disaster, worse time for these people not to take care of these properties with pandemic going around. -Absolutely everything was disgusting, if I could only post pictures right here your could see what I'm talking about. They can't even invest in a microwave or stove, not even in an abandoned house you would find a refrigerator, stove and microwave in those terrible conditions. There was food all over the kitchen, pieces of bread, seeds, nuts. -Most disgusting thing was to find bathrooms full of dirt, hair all over and a bucket full of used toilet paper. -Human hair under sheets, also around beds and floors, dog hair all over the house, not a single angle of the house was clean. As I said, my check in was at 4pm, after seeing all of this I called Gill, he carelessly said sorry but he forgot to clean the property, so he offer to send someone to clean, I said yes relying that it would be a crew with a good vaccum supplies and sanitizers. I lady parked and came with a old broom, mop and some pinol, super old vacuum that did not took trash at all, she said that she was sorry but it was her first day and that owners did not provide her with all essential cleaning supplies. This person did what she could, he after 7pm, house was still nasty, we started checking for hotels at oakhurst but all were booked, at this point my crew did not even want to see in sofa under those poor sanitary conditions, so a couple of us ran to Vons for cleaning supplies, Clorox and Lysol, right now with Covid-19 we had to do it. We were lucky we had sleeping bags, so we just put those dirty sheets on floor and used sleeping bags. Since our plan was to spend all day in Yosemite for Half Dome, we avoided to be at house at any cost, there is nothing to cook there anyway, our check in was almost till 10pm on the first day, basically 6 hours late. We left to Yosemite at 2am on June 15, I paid for two nights and I spent only around a total 14 hours there during a lapse of two nights Sat to Monday. Pool is not clean, so dont think you will find one as in the picture, very small and it is shared with other 3 bigger properties, so you would imagine now finding many people there.Total disaster of house.

Overall enjoyed the stay.

Nice place as home away from home. Couple of hrs for a handy man to fix few details, lock for the bathroom, level roll between tiles and lower bedroom etc as others said earlier. But nice spacious place and we all enjoyed the stay.
