Buckeye Bungalow is a freshly renovated 2 bedroom/2 bathroom cabin located in the wonderful Yosemite Forks Estates neighborhood. This pet friendly home can accommodate up to 8, and includes 4 parking spaces. The great location gives you quick access to Bass Lake (5 miles), downtown Oakhurst (3 miles), and the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park (11 miles).

Bedding/Bath Configuration is as follows:

Bedroom #1 with en suite bathroom- One Queen Bed, One Pullout Twin Sofa
Bedroom #2- Two Queen Beds
Living Room- Pullout Twin Sofa and Rollaway Twin Bed (tucked in a closet)
The other bathroom is located just outside Bedroom #2

The pullout twin sofas in Bedroom #1 and Living Room are probably best suited for children or small adults.

This home is all one level home.

The cabin has 4 mini split heating/AC units (1 in each bedroom and 2 in the living room) to keep you comfortable any time of the year.

Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions- Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.

Kitchen- The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.

Linens- Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes.

Fireplace/Firepits- Kindly note that any type of wood burning is typically unavailable in the summer and fall months, due to heightened fire risk in the area. Propane firepits and BBQ grills are usable year round. Since the property has an adequate heating system, firewood is not provided. Please do not use wood in the fireplace, but instead please use only Duraflame logs. Unfortunately, the fireplace smokes inside the house if you try to make a wood fire.

Hot Tub- There is no lifeguard on duty for the hot tub. Please use at your own risk. We kindly ask that you shower prior to entering the hot tub.

Dog Friendly! - This property IS dog friendly! Please indicate that you will be bringing a dog when you make your reservation and a $100 pet fee will be assessed. This $100 covers the entire stay, and is not a per day charge. There is a 2 dog maximum at the property. Please do not allow your dog(s) on the furniture or leave your dog(s) in the home unattended and use a leash when outside, per county ordinance.

Parking- There is enough parking for 4 cars at this property. The garage is unavailable to guests, as it is used for owner storage.

Early or Late Check-ins- Early check ins are often difficult for our team to accommodate. If you would like to check in early, please reach out to us after 2PM on the day of your arrival so we can check with our team. If you need guaranteed early check in, we recommend booking the night before your arrival so that you may check in as early as you wish. For checkout, most vacation homes have a 10AM check out in our area. We provide an 11AM checkout, and unfortunately can rarely offer a later checkout.

Occupancy- Maximum occupancy of 8 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total. This is strictly enforced. No having events/weddings/large dinner gatherings/guests over just to visit.

Wawona Only - Garbage- Garbage truck service is not available in this area. Yosemite Park requires visitors to "pack out" their garbage. There are several free bear proof dumpsters within walking distance of the cabin where you can dispose of your garbage. We have directions inside the welcome binder in the cabin!

Security Cameras- There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.

Chains- California Highway Patrol and the National Parks Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.

No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.

Insurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!

Mail- Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.

Calling Us - After booking, you are always welcome to call us at our main phone number, 24/7. That number does not receive text messages, but you will receive a text from us after booking and you can respond to that text thread any time you like. We check text messages regularly during the day and early evening.

Please note that this property is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, a beautiful escape into nature. However, being in such a pristine, natural environment means we occasionally encounter some of nature's residents, such as ants, spiders, insects, mice and cobwebs. While we take every precaution (including regularly scheduled pest control) to minimize these occurrences, they are a natural part of the mountain experience. Please do inform us if you experience any of these during your stay, so that we have the chance to address them to give you a more comfortable experience.

Neighbors- Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!

Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guest's information to copyright holder.

Simple Checkout Instructions-
1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!
2. Please do not do any laundry, it's all professionally serviced off-site.
3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful but not necessary.
4. Kindly throw your garbage in the large green dumpster, located out by the parking! It really helps us keep the critters away!
5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
P.S. Don't forget to get a last minute photo or two with your family and friends before leaving!

After booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will also be sent for E-sign to the email on file. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours after you make your booking to finalize your reservation.
