"We had a great stay! Gerald in reception was very welcoming and a very bubbly person, The room was very clean and the AC was blowing very cold which was a welcome feature during the hot Winnipeg summer. The breakfast was also good with a good selection of breads pancakes and beverages. All in all a great value for our money and will definitely consider staying there again for a staycation."

Requested to replace fridge that was not working (the beer would be warm inside) and I had cheese and meats to keep cold. Had to insist on a replacement...literally. "We had a fantastic 3 night stay in a spacious suite with a downtown view. Traveling with our dogs so we used room service from the Oval Room on a couple evening meals, they were delicious and fairly priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and with lots of walking opportunities. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return for more exploration. There is so much to see, I highly recommend The beautiful Fort Garry Hotel."

"There was no ceiling in the hallway, and was dark and smelled like mold. Rooms were very dated, but clean. Definitely checked for bedbugs, I think it was ok. Hopefully. There was a strange mechanical noise outside my room that sounded like a viking war bugle. And that was worse than the throng of drunks outside my window from the bar. Thankfully I had earplugs with me, managed to sleep ok, but I slept with my clothes on."
