Ripples is ideal for those relaxing evenings on the veranda that holidays are made of. Here you have the bonus of river life to entertain you.. All on the Ground Floor:

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi included. Decked verandah with steps down to gravelled garden with garden furniture. Coarse fishing. Mooring (foc). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced river access from the verandah.. Set on a quiet waterway leading to the River Bure in the popular village of Horning, is this delightful south facing property. The middle cottage of a row of three it has a verandah with steps down to a gravelled waterside garden and moorings. From here lots of boating activity can be watched and nearby Wroxham, the Broadland ‘capital’, offers boat hire. Norwich with its cathedral, castle, museums, theatre and fine shopping is 7 miles. Steam railway, nature trails, craft centres and golf locally. Sandy beaches 10 miles. Horning boasts an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre, shops and riverside inns serving food.

Ripples Holiday Cottage in Horning

We stayed at Ripples Holiday Cottage for 7 nights in June 2023. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved the location, easy walking to several pubs and restuarants and all the activities on the Broads. We loved sitting outside on the deck and watch the world go by. We appreciated receiving an email with our check in instructions well before we left Australia. Even in these times WI FI is not always readily available whilst travelling. Overall our stay was 10/10, we would definately go back

Comfortable property

This property is equipped with everything needed for 2 guests, except towels, which I don't remember reading in the description. The owner does contact renters prior to arrival and he pointed out that towels weren't provided. Heating is by way of 2 portable heaters, one didn't work very well. There is a dimplex heater on the wall in the lounge and also the bedroom, we didn't think either was working, but then the one in the lounge came on. It did become cold when they were switched off. The electric shower is a bit of a trickle and getting the temperature right is a bit of an issue. The mattress is rather uncomfortable as other renters have pointed out. Previous renters had complained of the transom windows not have a covering. Due to the height and shape of the window it would be difficult to open and close any window covering. The property is located next to a boat yard and approximately equidistant from the village centre and the ferry inn, less than 10 minutes walk either way. We had a lovely relaxing week.

A peaceful retreat

I have just spent a very relaxing week in Ripples. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed, sofa and chairs were all extremely comfortable. The outside decks overlooking the water made this property a special place to stay. The owner was friendly and helpful . Horning is an excellent place to be and there is a lot to do in the surrounding area, but relaxing on the deck is a great temptation in good weather! I would definitely return to this property.
