"The place is clean and quiet. Good getaway from the city. I booked with Expedia and as I was checking out. They charged me extra $ for cleaning fee. I did pay a good amount for a night and I’m surprised it wasn’t included in the first place. "Review for Highlands Resort – Adults Only I had a lovely and relaxing stay at Highlands Resort. The setting is peaceful, the grounds are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is perfect for a quiet getaway. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. "We stayed in a teeny-tiny cabin. Nice shower with nice products. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice bed! Two burner stovetop and mini fridge. Fire pit and picnic bench in front of each cabin. Just a few steps to Johnson’s Beach. Just a few blocks from Safeway and restaurants. La Bodeguita Mexican restaurant is a MUST. Property manager Chris is very kind and helpful. "

"Loved the location, the view, the ease of access to downtown, the quiet, and the room. we had bought a queen room through expedia and the property manager, who was very nice and personable, suggested we would want an upgrade to a nicer king room. We decided to go with that, and he flexed the price. The room we had paid for was dingy, and would have been an unsatisfying experience! So watch what you reserve!!"

"Check in was so easy. They texted to say what room and you can just go straight to your room. The staff was so nice and helpful. The whole place was great. I was so sad I was just staying one night. I am already trying to plan another trip so I can stay longer. "

"They don’t provide slippers like other four stars hotel. It’s more like Airbnb, but overall I like the vibe and the beautiful garden. The breakfast was good, esp. the scramble eggs."

"Upon arrival it was a bit unclear where to go for check in. Room on the third floor without an elevator was a bit of a trek. Bed was like a board and quite uncomfortable. Very nice complementary mocktails were crafted in lieu of the complimentary glass of bubbles. Neighboring guests were noisy. Transportation back from town concluded at 9pm on a Thursday night, so we had to drive our own car. Coffee in the morning was delicious. Overall, it was nice, but for the cost we would likely not return...
