"Do not book here! Pay the extra $25-$50 for literally anywhere else. Sketchy neighborhood, couples arguing all day and night, TV and WiFi did not work. We picked this spot because they were pet friendly and it was for one night but honestly I wish I’d picked a different spot."

"There were stains on the carpet and where the thermostat was an awful smell coming from that area-like musty smelling. We stayed and paid premium rate for a firework view and while I know they can’t control the weather, I reached out to see if they would be willing to credit something toward a future stay so we could enjoy the experience. Not even an acknowledgment of our disappointment or receipt of our email. Disappointed in the whole situation."

"Skip this hotel. Their deadlocks do not work on ANY hotel doors and the staff is aware and still checking people in. They apologized and told me to use the latch. So unsafe. I got a full refund and booked elsewhere."

"We enjoyed out short stay at the Freehand in Chicago. We were originally placed in a room on the 17th floor. However, the air conditioning wasn't working so they quickly moved us to another quad room on the 4th floor. The space worked great for my family of 4 adults. We also enjoyed talking with Selma at the bar while watching World Cup games."

"The hotel is nicely situated on the Chicago river. The property was very well maintained and we had no complaints during our stay. They even provided a box fan on request (need the "white noise" to sleep.) Will definitely stay there again on our next visit."

"The hotel is in the heart of the downtown and is easily accessible to all the restaurants, cloud gate, and other attractions. Best of all, the staff is amazing and friendly starting from front desk to room service. They made my stay a very pleasant one.
The only thing that was missing in the room is a comfortable couch. I wish they gave a mini couch/table or something instead of chair/table to sit and eat comfortably but that’s not biggie!
Love it! Thank You Hyatt!! I would surely recommend...

"I’m giving this place one star only because the location is excellent. Otherwise, I would not recommend staying here.
First, our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Second, the water pressure in the bathroom was terrible—the water was barely coming out, almost drop by drop.
Finally, although the room was advertised as having a queen bed, it was squeezed between three walls with no space on one side. If the person sleeping against the wall needed to...

"The Hotel is in a good location, thr room was clean, Housekepping came every day. However, The doorman ignored guests, and front desk staff seemed more focused on chatting than helping guests.
The Hotel should improve satff friendliness and attention.
The Elevator was a problem. Only one was working, so we had long waits, especially during checkout.
Plan extra time if you stay here."
