Spacious, light-filled, 4-bedroom farmhouse 10-minutes south of Charlottesville

Welcome to our renovated 1904 family farmhouse available for homestay visits for individuals, families, and small groups!

We are located in Southern Albemarle County, outside of Charlottesville, Va. Our renovated 1904 farm house and surrounding acreage (including our large backyard, barn, vegetable and flower gardens and adjacent meadows) are less than 10 minutes from Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard and 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. Our home is light, spacious, airy and cozy ~ perfect for entertaining small groups or families.

There are four bedrooms to choose from upstairs ~ the two front facing bedrooms have comfortable queen-sized beds and a shared access to the upstairs front porch. A smaller, quaint bedroom is perfect for one or two smaller people to enjoy, and can easily share the guest bathroom and shower/bath with the other two. The primary bedroom, with its treehouse-like view, has its own apron foot porcelain bath, shower and double sink.

The library/music room is a delightful nod to the original structure of the home, filled with comfortable seating, books and a piano. Enjoy an evening playing board games or watching movies in the family room, as you gather on the sectional sofa. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and utensils for comfortable hosting. Seating at the kitchen island flows into an open living space, near the double-sided Tulikivi fireplace and adjacent dining room.

The back door leads to an outside terrace and patio, complete with an outdoor fireplace, another wonderful gathering space for meals and conversation. The barn has been outfitted with twinkly lights, a basketball hoop and ping-pong table for your enjoyment.
