We came up from London and arrived a couple of hours early, hoping to either check in early or at the very least that our bags could be held at reception, as you can in some hotels but not here. You can register your car for the car park, and the use of the bar & restaurant. "No available breakfast facilities. Restaurant was full of lethargic American tourists who were supposed to have cleared so other guests could eat. Room aircon did not have ability to cool room. TV remote and interaction with the TV could be politely described as cumbersome. "

The complimentary minibar is a nice touch and the river views are an absolute bonus. Service is spot on, friendly, efficient, no fuss. Food at Gino D’Acampo Newcastle is genuinely very good and rounded off my stay nicely. Simple: great hotel, no weak points, would 100% stay again."
