The beach is in your backyard at this historic beachfront multiplex! This listing is for the main ground-floor unit with large back deck and 2 parking spots. It features a large living and dining room, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a game room with foosball table and classic arcade machine with hundreds of games. Smart TVs in every room, central heating and air, new memory foam mattresses, laundry room w/ washer and dryer, and all basic necessities for a perfect vacation.
Located in Ocean View area on the peaceful Chesapeake Bay, it is close to the Navy and Air Force bases, downtown Norfolk, Chicks Beach, Virginia Beach Oceanfront, ODU, CNU, and EVMS.
PETS: Only allowed with payment of the $100 pet fee, must be housebroken, well-behaved, and kept off furniture. Dogs that loudly bark at all hours are not permitted due to close neighbors.
EARLY/LATE CHECKOUT: Available for $75 each, for 1 PM, with advance notice.
Linens for sleeper sofa available upon request, please let me know in advance if needed.

PARTIES: This apartment has a $500 security deposit due to a recent party. If you cause a neighborhood disturbance with a party, this deposit will be kept, you will be kicked out, and everyone whose name is not on the booking will be trespassed. If you book with someone else's credit card and cannot provide ID, there will be trespassing and fraud charges.

This property was perfect for us, 15 minutes from airport and 15 minutes from university. All appliances worked. Shower was great. Easy access to beach but didn't get to spend much time there. Could have used better instructions on how to leave apartment, only said to take trash out.

The house was clean. The host was very responsive. It was too cold for us to enjoy the beach but we did walk over the dunes to look at it. The house is date with some spruce up done. But I like the character of older home. The bed in the master bedroom was fabulous, very comfortable.

We loved almost everything about this place. The house smelled a little like cigarettes, but the owner had an air purifier that we were able to use. A few things that we would’ve liked: extra blankets for the couch, extra towels/washcloths, a handheld vacuum for cleaning up sand, and a less weedy path to the beach.

Great place to stay. It was very spacious and clean. We loved the convenience of it being right on the beach. The kids loved playing foosball. The host was quick to respond and extremely accommodating, letting us modify our stay to add an extra night at the last minute. The beach is clean and not overly crowded. The parking is a bit tight, but it’s private off street parking. We will definitely be staying again.

Spacious rental right on the beach

I was surprised how spacious the rental is! It is definitely dated, but that did not affect our stay. A short walk out the back door, up and over the dune and you are on the beach - definitely my favorite part! Parking is tight, especially when all the units are full. What questions I had were answered extremely quickly. Would recommend and would stay again when in the area.

Unmet Expectations Despite Prompt Response

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing and didn’t meet expectations. The unit was not very clean upon arrival, and basic essentials like hand soap and an adequate number of towels were missing. We did call management, and to their credit, someone dropped off the missing items within about an hour.There were several maintenance issues that impacted our experience. The toilet seat cover was broken, and there was an exposed nail sticking out of the bathroom floor transition strip, which caused a cut on my husband’s foot. The central air conditioning was also not very effective, which made it uncomfortable at times.The listing stated that the property sleeps six, but we were surprised to find that only four guests had proper beds—two others had to sleep on the sofa and loveseat, which was not ideal. Additionally, the foosball table was unusable because it had no balls, and the other game system required quarters, which we were not informed of in advance and hadn’t brought with us.While the location and potential of the property are promising, we hope the owners address these issues for future guests.

Great place

Loved staying here. It is much more spacious than you would think. Also appreciated the work being done to update but maintain the feel of staying in an older home. The beach was nice and just a short walk over the dunes. Looking forward to staying here again when we come back to the area. The old school video game was also great!

Great excursion for the weekend!

George was awesome. We had a early check in for a small fee and George was on top of it. His response time was great and the beach in the backyard was relaxing. Will come back if in town again!
