"Tahoe City is the place to be. evo has a great location and staff. Restaurant and bar is fine plus you can easily walk to more places to eat and shop. Location looks at Lake Tahoe on the front and a golf course on the back with golfers, dogs, incoming geese and duck. We loved it."

A highlight was the Tram, just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel, that takes you up to the historic Olympic station from the 1960 Winter Olympics. " We were camping and got rained out. Just happened to find this place on Expedia and we're absolutely amazed by such a wonderful Lodge it is. That was 4 years ago and we now always stay at the Granlibakken anytime we are in Tahoe. They have everything here and no need to leave the property. The only draw back is that there is only one ice machine (that we could find) and it is located near the lobby. Other than that, great place to stay for sure!!!"
