"One of the best hotels in Arashiyama. Spacious, modern rooms. Very friendly and helpful staffs. Special thanks to Ms Rinka. I lost my wallet while walking between a restaurant and the hotel, and Ms Rinka volunteered to take me to the police station and help me file the police report. Turns out someone had found the wallet and brought it to the police station, so I was able to retrieve my wallet and nothing was lost. "Nice place. Chose the dormitory, the bed does creak with every movement as it is made of wood. It was good for a one night stay for me, but if you are staying for 2 night or more, I recommend choosing the rooms instead. Lovely staff though, I was able to leave my luggage early in the morning before check in. "

"Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. "
