Charming and Characterful One Bed, Superb Central Location Old Town Nice

  • Sitting in the lounge window of Santa Lucia gives a lovely aspect towards Place Rosetti and its church one way, and a stunning view to the old town buildings the other. Santa Lucia is in a superb location in the very heart of the Old Town of Nice, a short walk from the beach, Cours Saleya and Place Rosetti. At night you can sit under the window, perhaps enjoying a glass of locally produced rose wine, whilst listening to the chatter in the street below. Or if you want perfect peace, just close the original shutters and double glazed windows, and the chatter fades away. Santa Lucia is a one bed, one bath apartment which has been lovingly renovated in a fresh style, whilst keeping as many of its original features as possible. The fireplace, tomette floor, doors, shutters and painted beams are all original leaving the apartment bursting with character. That said we have installed all modern amenities you would expect including a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom as well as a technology centre with international cable TV, DVD and complimentary WI-FI.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is excellent, in the old town, but very close to the trams and buses of the Nice public transport system. There are many boutique shops and restaurants just around the corner. Small supermarkets, bakers etc within a short walk. The market and seafront are only 5 minutes away.

Lovely little apartment

Lovely little apartment in an ideal location for exploring Old Town. Excellent restaurants close to hand and a short walk to the promenade. If we returned to Nice we would not hesitate in booking again.

Comfortable stay

We enjoyed so much about this apartment! There was plenty of space for the two of us in this nicely decorated place. We liked being close by to the castle as well as restaurants and cafes. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted in 20 minutes or less.

This place is wonderful! Beyond just the basics, it’s got lovely decor and charm that make it feel comfortable and welcoming. My partner and I stayed for 7 nights, and it was the perfect amount of space for us. The location was fantastic as well—right in the middle of the shops, restaurants, cafes of Old Nice and just a few minutes from the beach. The tram stop was also very close, so it was easy to get to/from the train station and airport. I highly recommend this apartment and would absolutely stay again!

Location location location

I had a wonderful stay at this property tucked in the heart of old town Nice. It was perfect for my weekend getaway, I loved the easy walkability of the neighborhood, lots of great food options nearby, and close to the rest of Nice while feeling a world away. The host was wonderful and extremely helpful. The property was so cute and cozy, and it had everything I needed.

Amazing Stay in Nice

We loved our stay in Linda's home; the property management people were extremely responsive in their communication, and made the checkin/checkout experience very smooth. Calme, bien situé, près de la colline du château et de la cathédrale Ste Réparate. Le tram est à deux pas. L' appartement niçois est plein de charme, très attachant, les persiennes donnent à la chambre une intimité joyeuse. Un séjour d'hiver à Nice que je n'oublierai pas.

An absolute gem!

This wonderful apartment was very well maintained and comfortable for 2 people. You could easily sleep 3. Charm is flowing throughout the entire place. The neighborhood is unbeatable. You step out into what looks like a movie set. It is a 3 minute walk to the daily farmers market and 1 minute walk to the beach. I would not stay anywhere else when I return to Nice. The owners communicate quickly. Overall one of the best locations that I’ve stayed in!

The location is great, an easy walk from the bus or tram stop nearby. The fans made the late-July heat bearable. The one thing missing was a way to do my recycling that didn't involve a walk to Victor Hugo (where I knew I'd find bins).

Great authentic location in the heart of the old town Nice. Little bit loud at times at night, no air conditioning in the summer, might be a bit hot for some people. My partner would have liked a full length mirror. Otherwise a wonderful spot with all the necessities included in the apartment

Au coeur du Vieux Nice

The location of this property is perfect, in the old district named "Le Vieux Nice". It is also central for the transports (tramway and railway station). The flat is comfortable. We advised the manager to put on the heater one night in advance to have the optimum temperature. We were in this flat in february and it was so pleasant to enter this warm apartment at the end of the afternoon after visiting the region. For us it was a very good address ; this is my conclusion

Bit of a Mixed Experience

We stayed at the apartment for four days in July 2023. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but your view will depend on whether you prefer (1) being in the heart of vibrant, lively Nice old town or (2) having a quiet relaxing stay. This is because the apartment is not air-conditioned and we were there during some very hot weather, so that we had to keep the windows open at night. This meant that it could be very noisy. Depends on what you want!!

Very French....

The appartment was perfectly situated just off the main avenue and tram route from the airport inside the old town ,an easy walk from the main tram station. The appointment is on the 2nd floor with 4 short flights of stairs to climb. You have all the items you need to enjoy your stay laid out in a typical French style although the access to the bath and wc can be a tight squeeze....a comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space . We did have some noise from building work in the block and the apartment above starting around 8.00 and people returning from the night clubs at 3 .00 so not one for the light sleepers. Overall if you are looking for a real French experience this is the place for you .
