Charming and beautifully appointed, Gate Street Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic and memorable retreat. Prices are subject to change daily.



-3 Bedrooms – 2 King beds, 1 Queen bed

-3 Bathrooms – 2 walk-in shower ensuites and tub plus separate shower ensuite

-Hosts up to 6 guests (including infants and children)

Gate Street Cottage has been lovingly restored and features all the modern conveniences mixed with original hardwood floors, a claw foot tub, picket fence and a covered porch.



Gate Street Cottage has a large living room with flat screen TV to enjoy movies with enough room for the whole group! Perfect for a rainy day.



A separate dining room with seating for 6 and beautiful kitchen with granite countertops:



-Drip-coffee maker and kettle with enough coffee, tea, and sugar to get you started

-Flat top stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher

-Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses (including wine glasses)

-Non-stick spray, paper towels, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloths

-Salt and pepper



The main floor laundry is located next to the kitchen supplied with:



-Laundry soap, stain remover and dryer sheets



Bedding, towels, hair dryer, facial and toilet tissue, shampoo, and hand soap are also provided.



The main floor bedroom has a king bed with lots of drawer and closet space and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs, there is a king bedroom with a seating area and ensuite with both walk-in shower and claw foot tub. Also upstairs, the queen bedroom with ensuite features a large walk-in shower with rainfall shower head.



Outside, relax on the generous front porch and watch the people and occasional horse and carriage pass by. Sit on the back deck while dinner cooks on the BBQ/grill. Lounge in the sunshine of the back garden or take in the cool shade of the pine tree.



Set amongst lush gardens, this more than 100-year-old cottage is just steps from the many offerings that Canada's most picturesque town has to offer. Take a short stroll to the many world-class restaurants, Shaw Festival Theatres, and quaint boutiques that line downtown Queen Street. Visit the Niagara wineries, breweries and distilleries scattered throughout the area.

Disappointed that the overnight cost listed on the app did not include the Vrbo fee, resulting in a higher per night cost than initially planned for.The home was lovely, beautifully located, and we were very happy with our stay!

Fully equipped kitchen with exception of ice maker. Refrigerator and freezer were small, separate appliances. Freezer needed to be defrosted. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Downstairs shower head needs to either be cleaned or replaced. Water flow is scarce. Upstairs bathroom sink drain’s slowly. We all enjoyed the covered front porch for coffee, cocktails and reading. The yard is landscaped beautifully.

The problem with this property was the landscaping. The property had not been touched in months. Everything was over grown and you couldn’t park and get out of your car because of the over growth. There was no ability to use the backyard.

Our stay was so much fun, we really loved our location & the house was clean and very well equipped. We had 3 couples. Friends from different states in the US met up in Niagara Falls, then came here and thoroughly enjoyed NOTL. For 4 of us, it was a first. We enjoyed a round of golf, Shaw play, and a Ghost Walk. Good shopping, dining and spirits, no pun intended

Easy to walk to Historic Downtown NOTL's shops, dining, & historical landmarks. Dedicated parking was a plus. We didn't cook there but kitchen was well appointed, plenty of towels. The landscape is in serious need of a trim all along the driveway & front walkway. Backyard was also overgrown & had only limited use capability.

An absolutely beautiful house! We loved sitting on the front porch, enjoying coffee or wine while chatting with people as they went by the house. Fantastic restaurants, excellent wineries and Niagara Falls was spectacular. We are already checking calendars for a return trip. Beautiful wildlife in the backyard.

Amazing location making sure that all of our family were able to walk to the Main Street just two doors away. We loved the theee bedrooms each with their own en suite and found the kitchen well appointed.

Lovely cottage in perfect location!

This little gem had everything we needed for our 4 days in NOTL. A home away from home and we could walk to the theatre, high tea and the golf course. Would definitely recommend!

Gem in a Charming Town

This older home is lovely. The location couldn’t be better. Only issue was creaky floors upstairs - in spite of that we’d go back. Niagara on the Lake is a fairy tale place!

Best cottage in NOTL so far

We have been coming to NOTL for 25 years- this was the best cottage we had. Three huge bedrooms, All with dedicated bath. Nice common spaces, well-appointed kitchen. Lovely garden, bathrooms very modern Location fantastic- so close to Queen but still very quiet. Will try to book again next year

Amazing Niagara Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful cottage! We could not have asked for more. We were three friends staying in the Niagara region for 4 days and we each had our own room plus bathroom which felt pretty luxurious. The cottage is stunning (which multiple passersby pointed out to us as we sat on the pretty porch). The location can't be beat - steps from downtown - with beautiful trees surrounding it, and a lovely front yard and back garden, It's about a 20-minute drive to Niagara Falls and less than that to nearby wineries. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we'd rent this place again in a heartbeat!!
