Historic main street home with gorgeous veranda 3 Bedrooms 2 Bath. This historic grand home is located in the heart of Old Town Niagara on the Lake’s main street and offers travelers a very special experience. It boasts with two queen bedrooms and third bedroom with two twin beds and two full baths.

This historic grand home located in the heart of Old Town Niagara on the Lake’s main street and offers travelers a very special experience. It boasts with two queen bedrooms and third bedroom with two twin beds and two full baths.

The attention to detail, quality workmanship and material is evident throughout the house, from the restored custom cabinetry to the hardwood floors and the restored ornate radiators.

The veranda and its intricate original trim are still intact and make it a very special place to enjoy a glass of local wine or a BBQ in the heart of the Old Town. Relax anb take in the glorious gardens that surround the property.

Lake Ontario is only blocks away, as are the Niagara on the Lake’s Queen Street, Niagara Golf Club, many restaurants, and the Shaw Festival Theatre. The home is situated next the Prince of Wales Hotel. On a warm summer day, horse-drawn carriages can be seen parading by from the veranda.

Original doors with glass open to the home’s foyer, which features a dramatic grand wooden staircase.

The spacious formal living room with hardwood floors, large windows is adjacent to he formal dining room has also has hardwood floors, double entrance doors at the site of the gamily room and kitchen lead to the gorgeous garden with multiple seating areas and a natural gas BBQ.

On the second floor, three bedrooms feature hardwood floors and a large bathroom. The master bedroom has queen bed and a walk-in closet. The second and third bedrooms have a queen bed and the third with two twins. In addition to the three bedrooms the second level offers an office space that is ideal for the business traveler.

This beautifully decorated and well-located home is the perfect place to get away from it all. Your host, Mark, is happy to suggest activities and help you explore to make the best of your recommendations for local pubs and restaurants.

The host was excellent in getting back to me quickly on answering a few of my questions. The location is literally steps from the Main Street, park your car and walk to restaurants and the beautiful shops. The house had everything you’d need to prepare a meal, 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 good size bathrooms. The best part was the spacious open concept family room - kitchen, harvest table. It was so pretty!! We will definitely be going back in the fall.

Everything was lovely about the house- the location, the ambiance, the experience! The house was beautiful and had such a homey vibe to it. The living room was spectacular! The rooms were nice and I loved that we were in the heart of Old Town Niagara on the Lake! Will definitely be back!

The Meritage House is hands down one of the most fantastic rentals available in Niagara on the Lake area. We were absolutely thrilled with the location and proximity to everything we wanted to see and explore. The house is well appointed and was stocked with excellent kitchen ware and each bathroom was fully outfitted with towels, soaps, and shampoo - a travelers’ dream. The historic charm and decoration of the house is a reason all in itself to stay. We enjoyed pursuing the lovely architectural details and browsing all of the artwork and photographs that adorned the walls. The high ceilings made it feel like a grand manor house. The backyard is truly a delight. A quiet place for reading or a charming place for an outdoor meal. We found several spots to gather, relax, and chat with our girls group. The bedrooms were lovely with comfortable linens and pillows. The host was kind and responsive. But really - the best part is that the house is truly walking distance to everything NOTL has to offer: the spas, the restaurants, the theatre - you name it! Our group loved the Spa at Q, gelato at Il Gelato di Carlotta, Thai food at Niagara’s Finest Thai, Greek food at Gyros on the Lake, and more. It’s all right there for the taking. If you’re thinking about booking this house: do it. You won’t be disappointed.

Very spacious house, perfect location. Digital entry system worked very smoothly. Would have appreciated access to additional blankets for guests who need extra warmth while sleeping. Had to find towels in laundry room—would have been nice to have them in bathrooms or bedrooms. Enjoyed morning coffee on the back patio!
