I booked two rooms at The Anam Hotel, Cam Ranh, from November 24 to November 29, 2025, through Expedia for leisure travel. Unfortunately, during this period, Cam Ranh and the surrounding Khanh Hòa region experienced severe flooding and storms, with official government warnings advising travelers not to visit the area.
Due to the flooding:
- Flights and trains were cancelled in and out of the region
- Roads and infrastructure were heavily impacted
- There were reported fatalities and widespread evacuations
Despite these extraordinary circumstances, the hotel refused to reimburse or provide credit for the unused rooms, citing a “non-refundable” policy. This situation was beyond the traveler’s control and falls under exceptional safety-related events.
I hope this review helps future travelers make informed decisions. I am also seeking a fair resolution directly with both The Anam Hotel and Expedia.
