Moira is an excellent hostess. She has decorated the house beautifully. The bed was comfortable. The claw foot bathtub was a treat. We loved the breakfast options. Loved our visit.

This is a cute B&B on a beautiful property, in a very safe, nice little town. The owner is very friendly. The rooms are a nice size and are very private, but the bed was hard, and the room a little over cluttered. Walls are thin, so you’ll most likely hear your neighbours in other rooms. We had a bath with a hose, no proper shower which was a little inconvenient. Breakfast was very nice.

Pleasant stay, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, with food cooked to order. Unfortunately for us the bed was too firm but otherwise a good stay.

Gorgeous room and bathroom in a lovely property!

Absolutely perfect! Beautifully decorated and absolutely spotlessly clean! We had the deluxe room with the roll top bath which was gorgeous. Our hostess was lovely and very Covid aware. This was a rare find and we highly recommend it.

Beautifully presented Guest house

Beautiful Guest house, wonderful breakfast of homemade waffles all beautifully presented. Our host was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. She provided us on our arrival with a tray of tea and coffee with homemade shortbread absolutely delicious.

My partner and I booked the Eagle View Guest House as an overnight stop on our way further North because of the great rating it has received. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by our host and shown round the guest sitting room and directed to the breakfast room before being shown to our room. Our room was immaculate, tastefully decorated with an en suite bathroom which had a roll-top bath. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic! Laid out was fruit juice & water, ham & cheese, yogurt & pineapple, a selection of cereals & muesli as well as bread for toasting with honey & jams. As well as helping ourselves to this selection we could also order cooked options and we both went for a full Scottish breakfast with a pot of tea which set us up for our adventure that day. I could not recommend this guest house highly enough.

Alice in Wonderland

My wife instantly fell in love with this guest house. She felt like Alice in Wonderland. Super cozy interior. Very lovely house owner with nice two dogs :) one wanted to join us on the hike in the morning. Will for sure stay there next time going to Scotland.

Eagle view guesthouse is eigenlijk een prive minihotel met 5 of 6 kamers; de eigenaren wonen in het achterhuis; het voorhuis heeft een aantal kamers die worden verhuurd. Het stadje Newtonmore is gunstig gelegen om de ruige Schotse natuur van het Cairgorms national park te gaan ontdekken. Veel wandelingen; musea en een dierenpark vlakbij. Eagle View ligt aan de hoofdstraat die door het dorpje loopt; toch is het stil en hebben we rustig kunnen slapen. Het is smaakvol ingericht en onze kamer had fraai sanitair. Goed bed. Wifi goed. Beneden is er een ruime gezamenlijke lounge met fijne bank waar de gasten kunnen verblijven of gaan zitten om te lezen; hier kan je koffie (nespresso) of thee maken. Het ontbijt is keurig verzorgd en smakelijk met veel keuze. Voor het avondeten moet je de deur uit, op 3-10 minuten lopen zijn er in het dorp een aantal restaurants waar je goed terecht kan; de eigenaresse adviseert je graag.

An excellent stay.

We were in Newtonmore for 2 nights, to do some walking and just chill out.. When we arrived at Eagle View, Moira made us feel very welcome and made it clear that our comfort was her prime concern. The room was lovely, with tea, coffee, biscuits etc and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, with choices of cereals, chunky fruit salad, cheese, cold meats, toast and of course, cooked options. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was scrummy. And we could have had another cafetiere of coffee if we'd wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend Eagle View.
