Brilliant cottage

Stunning cottage in impeccable condition. Set in stunning countryside but only 15 mins away from town. A great central location idea for exploring all of Cornwall. Highly recommended.

Amazing

We went during the latter half of the summer holidays and stayed in the Stiddle. The sounding area is beautiful. With the lake and the general quietness. The stone and gravel path driving up outside the accommodation was amazing. Checking in was easy as we were expected and handed the keys and left to get on with things. The hosts were only a few yards away if we needed them. When we stepped in we were blown away by the Stiddle. It had everything and then some of what we needed. It is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The whole time we were there it was lovely and enjoyed every part of our Stay. We have two little children and they loved it, bouncing out of bed every morning with restful stays every night and going out most days. On the one day they stayed indoors they really enjoyed the board games that were provided and the big screen TV. With the full kitchen with all the utensils provided meant that with the Morrison not too far away meant that cost were kept to a minimum and there was no doubt if we would be able to make anything we wanted. There is so much to do and we didn't get everything done on our 4 nights stay, so we will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

A most enjoyable stay

We were at The Stiddle for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was lovely, clean, well equipped and sited in open countryside- what a view we had! The scone tea that awaited us was also an unexpected surprise!

Perfect Isolation, Only Minutes from Everywhere!

Degembris Cottage was everything we wanted, and more. Set in the middle of nowhere (yet only 10 minutes from Newquay) is a beautiful farmhouse and cottages overlooking unspoilt countryside. We stayed in the 'Owl House' an upside down cottage with two large bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, and a very large, open plan living space upstairs. The space was very family friendly and the kids felt at home immediately. The kitchen has everything you need, including milk in the fridge and fresh scones for our arrival. Only a couple of miles away are Dairyland and a Steam Railway that children will love, and Newquay is only a short drive away. Bodmin, St. Austell and The Eden Project are no more than 30mins away, and you can be in Penzance within the hour. So you really do have the best of both worlds, you are in the middle of nowhere but near everything!

Lovely country retreat

Our flight was cancelled, so we needed a place to stay at the very last minute. When I called to let them know we’d be arriving late, the gentleman I spoke with was so pleasant, and even stayed up late to greet us, as we couldn’t get there until 10:45pm. The cottage was lovely, well-appointed, comfortable, and spotless. Waking in the morning, we were happily impressed with the beautiful views, landscaping and charm of the entire property. The drive through the countryside to the airport only took about 15-20 minutes, and was also lovely. You are out in the country back roads though, so it can be a bit hard to find - out google map worked great to get us there. These cottages would be great for families or friends who want a quiet and comfortable getaway in the country, but within 15-20 minutes driving distance of the airport, beach and Newquay.

Extremely pleased with the place and location

Really amazing experience. It was our first time in a cottage and Degembris exceeded our expectations. The cottage was spotless and fully equipped. The area is really nice and quiet. Also very well located. If you are travelling with children (as we did) you have good areas nearby. From Dairyland to nice walks and good beaches.

Self Catering Accommodation

Spent 7 days in the Stiddle; single story cottage with 2 ensuite bedrooms plus extra cloakroom and large living/kitchen/diner equip to a high standard with every conceivable requirement accompanied by extra personal touches. Ideal for mobility access which suited my 95 year old mother in law.
