Great location right by Times Square. I was worried it would be noisy but the room was super quiet. Staff were welcoming and friendly and there's a weekly complimentary cheese and wine evening for guests which was a lovely touch and especially nice for solo travellers.
However, the room itself was very dark. The window faced another building so there was very little natural light and the lights in the room were also very dim which made the room feel quite gloomy. The bathroom lighting was particularly bad and it was difficult to do my makeup. My room wasn't cleaned very well on arrival. There was a piece of dental floss on the bathroom floor and a big dust ball on the floor of the bedroom. The shower handle was also broken so it was impossible to tell which way was hot and which was cold so figuring that out every morning was frustrating and time consuming. To be fair I did not raise these concerns with the hotel, had I done so some of these issues might have been resolved. It didn't seem worth the bother of awkward conversations since I was on my there for a long wkd
