Do not stay at this hotel! There is no human to help when there is a problem. No one on the emergency line gets back to you in a timely manner. Broken shower and no bath. No microwave even though advertised. Very loud. Don't waste your money.

It’s a nice space. It’s not really a hotel but cute inside. It’s directly next to a bar that is super loud well into the night. The AC didn’t work but it was chilly so we cracked the window the stay cool at night. Perfect for a short stay where you’re just sleeping and that’s it. There is not really front desk staff if you need any help but we didn’t have any issues after check in. Good for young people, not for families.

Timely response time from Emre, grateful for that. The apartment was quiet, basic, clean and location, location, location!!!! We felt very welcomed with everyone we encountered.

Our stay

I was very happy with our stay at this property. The room was clean and cozy. The Lobby, sitting area and outside of the building was clean. The host was attentive with responses and giving check in information. The location was absolutely amazing and perfect so many nice places within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

The communication from the host broke down quickly. It seems we could only get responses between 10am-5pm. So when we found out that there wasn’t any hot water at 9pm we were basically stuck. The issue wasn’t fixed by the next day and we would had another night of cold showers so I called VRBO directly. Even they couldn’t get in contact with the host at 6pm. We wound up leaving and getting a refund. If the communication had been better we would have been much more patient and understanding.

Great location

This property is located extremely conveniently in central Manhattan within walking distance to Times Sq and multiple bus and subway stations. The property was kept clean and organized!

Great location

The location is near the theater district, very close to the Algonquin Hotel. Great for a mid-town weekend. It's small, but comfortable enough. Light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs, since it does get street noise, even though it's on the 10th floor.

Host was ok. Not friendly. Took a long time to ever message me back. The space is nice and comfy. Centrally located to most stuff. I will say the bldg is old and the elevator shows its age. The people at the front office were very nice to deal with. Also, bring everything you will need! Like cups, bowls, coffee, creamer, snacks. There is Nothing in the room besides the bed, chairs, desk, fridge and microwave. Also, the safe in the closet does not work soooooo!!!

Leak, Bathroom, & heat

It was so warm in this unit our whole stay. We had to buy a fan to make it bearable. The bathroom door did not close all the way, and the faucets were crusty and hard to turn. Our last night here we found a water leak in the ceiling and reported it right away. It was near electrical so we stopping using the lights in the bathroom. The host did not reply to our concerns till late the next evening after we had checked out and left. It was in a good location.

Maybe they do have some chic hotel like rooms in the building but mine wasn't it. First, I never received check in information until I reached out to the host just a few hours before I was to check in. Then when I got to my room it was dark and dingy. The floor was painted black but was marred and scratched all over. It looked like a glorified dorm room with mismatched furniture. There were stains on the wall above the bed where artwork had obviously hung but was no longer there. But the big holes to hang the artwork were still there. The side table drawer would never stay closed. They only provided 2 body towels and a bath mat for an 11 day stay. When I walked into the bathroom there was some water around the toilet and there was a blue towel on the floor in front of the sink. I didn't realize til I stepped on it that it was completely soaked with water leaking from the toilet. They obviously knew about the leak as they had put the towel down but didnt bother to fix it and instead rented out the room. There were contact numbers on the front desk but at this point I had unpacked and had to go straight into work. So I just dealt with it. Oh and if you want your room cleaned, it costs money. The blinds kind of worked to open and close but only so much. And it is a window a/c, which was fine but loud. The only 2 good things I can say is it was conveniently located and the bed was very comfortable.

Worst experience ever. Owner is a cheat. Total bait and switch operation. Vrbo had to intervene to get the access codes. AFTER I flew to New York owner contacted me and said due to a maintenance problem he had to move me to another room. This is after I had checked with him three weeks in advance. Room had no hangers, no hair dryer, the bathroom vent did not work so the walls were soaked with shower steam as was the toilet paper. Owner non responsive and no one at check in desk for help. Two maids took pity on us and helped. This man is a scammer and you do not want to do business with him.

Great location, but no communication from the host. Listed with AC, but it was not working. Unfortunately, no messages at all answered from host, and we had to find a maintenance person- but he could not fix. Very hot in unit, couldn’t sleep. Photos are a little dated on the website. Windows also don’t open all the way. Parking available couple blocks away, $60 for a whole day if you have to leave overnight.

We were notified the morning we arrived that the room we booked was no longer available due to an unspecified issue, and we'd been rebooked to a different room. The room seemed a little less spacious and didn't receive much light through the windows. Hot water in the shower was hit and miss. There is a coffee maker but no coffee. You have to text host to get the wifi code. Bed has a blanket and fitted sheet but no top sheet. The building is shared with student housing. The listing doesn't say it but the building is Mansfield Hotel aka Harrington Urban Living. Positives: we were allowed to check in a couple hours early. The staff is generally responsive and helpful, although the front desk in the building is usually not staffed. The AC is good. The location in midtown is great, beautiful Bryant Park is nearby, and easy to get to points around the city.

Communication with the host was inadequate. I inquired on a few occasions. I never received a response. I inquired about how much it would cost to add an adult. I also inquired about check instructions. I was nervous to visit and not receive Information regarding my check in since I had read someone else’s review that they had been double booked. I spoke to the host on the phone and he assured me that I would receive a response that day and I did not. We communicated through text and he still failed to give me an answer. I did not receive instructions until a few hours before our chicken. It was a little nerve-racking, not having that information at least 24 hours in advance. The lack of communication I found unprofessional.

This was a prime location for everywhere you would need to go. Staff was excellent and allowed us to check in early to leave bags in room. Room was very clean and it was overall a great experience. Definitely would come back here if I were to visit again.
