Saltwater Melody Executive Beach House

Welcome to Saltwater Melody Executive Beach House. Prince Edward Island’s newest executive beach house is located in the heart of the island in New London. We are located just minutes from beautiful Cavendish and all that PEI has to offer; spectacular beaches, world class golf, fine dining and culinary adventure, live music, family attractions, trails, water sport, and all things Anne.

Construction of this executive beach house was completed in spring 2017. The 1,900 square foot two story home offers panoramic water views and spacious accommodations for your getaway. Almost every room in the house has an exceptional view of the bay. The beach house is situated on a one acre lot with mature trees and a beautifully landscaped lawn. The outdoor fire pit area, with spacious seating, is the perfect place to be during summer evenings. The beach house has a wraparound veranda fully equipped with a Weber bbq, patio table, and plenty of chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view. The upstairs deck, off the master bedroom, is the perfect location to sit back and enjoy the spectacular PEI sunset over the water or get up early in the morning to see the fishing boats off in the distance.

This brand new house features an open concept gourmet kitchen, which looks out past the living and dining area onto the water. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need for a full course dinner, clambake or cookout. It is perfect for entertaining! Stunning hardwood floors are laid throughout the house and there is a gas fireplace for those cozy evenings.

Saltwater Melody has three bedrooms and sleeps six people. The impressive master bedroom showcases a king size bed, two large closets, an en suite bathroom, private seating area with a fireplace and a private balcony with an exceptional view. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a large closet. The third bedroom has one queen bed with a large closet. Each bedroom features a fantastic view of the water.

This tastefully designed home has three bathrooms. The en suite bathroom features a large soaker tub and tiled shower and the main bathroom features a custom walk in shower. There is also a powder room and separate laundry room with a washer and dryer downstairs. Wash off the sand and salt in the custom outdoor shower after an afternoon on the beach.

The tranquil waters around the home are frequented by pleasure motor crafts, fishing boats, canoes and kayaks. There is an oyster lease in front of our property so if you see our friendly fishermen, wave them down and you may be able to buy some oysters fresh off the boat! Head down to the beach to construct a sandcastle, enjoy an evening stroll while the sun sets, build a bonfire or just relax. We have a shore beach in front of the property where you can walk quite a distance and see our red sandstone cliffs, shells, and many birds when the tide is out. During low tide you can also dig some clams for a PEI clambake. Spend some time beach combing for shells, sea glass and unique rocks or just losing yourself in this serene place. Lots to see and do around here!

Awaiting your arrival will be a welcome gift basket of PEI treats. We provide a beach pass for all 3 National Park beaches which are all very close. Great wrap around porch and gleaming floors. Ample towels and comfortable beds. I know it said ocean views though I thought from the pictures it was closer and more walkable. Don’t be discouraged though. The potato producers nearby was fun to watch and having the washer/dryer was a wonderful help. No soap pods or softener. Gorgeous beach across the bay with a lighthouse called New London. Deep beach. The best part of the rental was the owner Jen. It was raining cats and dogs when we left our other rental and she graciously let us arrive four hours early.

There were 6 of us and we were all so pleased with the rental. It’s just like the pictures and the description. So spacious and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked. The decor is Beachs cute. Thank you Jenn for the local yummy gifts.

Our family was blown away by the beauty, peace and tranquility of this home and location. The cleanliness of the home and welcome gifts instantly made us feel at home. Our children, ages 4 and 6, loved the large yard where they could freely play and explore and watching for bald eagles, osprey, and great blue herons. We were able to go explore the area with most of our destinations within a 15 minute drive (beaches, the national park for hiking and to ride our bicycles, many Anne of Green Gables/Lucy Maud Montgomery sites, Shining Waters family park, etc). We also spent a day driving to Charlottetown (approx 40 min drive) and walked through Victoria Park which has a beautiful boardwalk and a great playground and splash pad at one end. Even while doing many things during our week, we still found it to be very relaxing and all wanted to stay longer. Jenn was a wonderful host, was quick to respond, incredibly kind and generous, and provided great recommendations. Thank you, Jenn! We cannot wait to come back!

This was our first trip to PEI and Jenn’s house was the perfect home base for my family of four and in-laws. The house was on the most peaceful spot right by the water. It was stocked with everything we needed and was the perfect size for the 6 of us. It was a great central location to take day trips as well. And we highly recommend attending one of the nightly ceilidh’s down the street. Would definitely stay again!

We highly recommend this scenic cottage by the bay! It's a beautiful place and well-stocked with amenities. The host, Jenn, has done a fantastic job of setting it all up, which you get a sense of as soon as you walk in the door and are greeted with a generous welcome package of gifts. The place is extremely clean and stocked with supplies. We encountered one house maintenance issue during our stay but the host was quick to resolve it and smooth the whole thing over very professionally and thoughtfully. The view and grounds are expansive and beautiful, and we especially liked that there were beach towels and chairs to use for our many coastal outings during our week-long stay, as well as a firepit we could use to roast marshmallows in the evening. Location is perfect to explore PEI and the Parks Canada pass is another generous treat by Jenn for beach days and trail walks. Altogether we had a wonderful time and would definitely come again.

From the moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be a fabulous place to have a family vacation. The wrap around deck provided excellent views and seating for outside dining and relaxing. The cottage was modern and well-equipped with everything we needed to make an enjoyable stay. Even the weather cooperated with beautiful hot, sunny days! The house was just as it appeared in the photos. It was very comfortable. When it wasn’t hot having the windows open provided a fabulous breeze. Jenn arranged for a portacrib and high chair for us. And when she wasn’t sure about the crib she got us a back up! That was so nice. Jenn was very easily reached and responded quickly to queries. This is just the sort of place you can book confidently. We had a lovely time!

First time for our family in PEI was made very special by Jennifer our host and the Saltwater Melody property. A short drive from the beaches at Cavendish and Thunder Cove, to oysters from Malpeque and the unbelievably good lobster rolls, boat rides from North Rustico. The "guest book" chronicles the good times had by all guests to the house. 5 stars! Would return in an instant!

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been praised about Saltwater Melody. The house is the perfect idea of a vacation home. And maybe its that Jen distracts you upon arrival with delicious goodies from PEI but there really isn't thing bad to say about the property. Our family had never been to PEI and this is really going to be hard to top. We didn't get to enjoy as much of the outside of the house because there was rain a couple of our days but there was plenty of room to spread out but still be around family. The location was perfect for day-trips to Charlottetown. Cavendish was very close by and had plenty of shops and places to eat. We really hated to leave this little piece of heaven! Thanks for letting it be ours if only for a few days.

Jenn was an amazing hostess. Our stay at Saltwater Melody was a wonderfully relaxing retreat away from home. The location was central to all of our Anne of Green Gables itinerary, so each day we would go explore, and come home in the evenings to relax on the amazing front porch. The location is down a red dirt road, with beautiful wildflower fields and views of the water. Jenn had legos, boardgames, Anne of green gables books, yard Ames, a fire pit, really anything you could possibly want. We would return in a heartbeat!

The Melody Beach House was the ideal landing spot for our stay on the island. When we arrived, Jen, kindly had offerings of welcome gifts - soap, cookies and beverages. So unexpected, and yet, so thoughtful. The house is close proximity to several attractions on the island - Thunder Cove and Cavendish Beach, Burlington Go-Karts, Sand Spit, Shining Waters, Island Hill Farms and it’s a short drive to Charlottetown (approx. 40 mins). It is also close to great eats and treats. If you’re a foodie, you must try the Slaymaker and Blue Mussel Cafe. They are a “you must eat here” 👌. In those quiet not so touristy days we combed the beach, sat by the fire , played board games and enjoyed our morning coffee on the veranda watching the sunrise over the ocean while reading a book. It’s like home away from home. The Melody house does NOT disappoint. My only disappointment is that we couldn’t stay longer. Thank you for opening up your home, Jen. We look forward to a return visit next summer. Coincidentally, another Melody 😉

This was our 4th stay on PEI and at Saltwater Melody and it was as magical as always. The house is so pristine and so comfortable. Jennifer is the most amazing host and thinks of every detail, down to making sure there was a delicious raspberry cordial and cinnamon bun for each of our kids. The worst part of the stay is having to leave and we’re already counting down the days till next summer!

The house was wonderfully appointed and furnished. We had everything we needed. A very peaceful property on a quiet road with a lovely view. The beds were so very comfortable and the breeze on the covered porch was just perfect for sitting out with a book. A short drive away from anything you could need or want to discover, the location was ideal. The owner was fantastic and very communicative. We were greeted with delightful local treats and felt right at home. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!

We chose to visit PEI to visit its beautiful coastline and bicycle it's trails. Jenn was a great host who provided us with info about places to go and restaurants to visit. Every day we explored a different area and enjoyed the beauty that surrounded us. Added bonuses were the lupines that were in bloom right on the property, sunrises, and sunsets. This was a great central location that I highly recommend.

From the moment we found Saltwater Melody Jenn was an amazing host! The location is perfect for spending time on the island. Jenn has thought of everything to make this a home away from home - well stocked kitchen, boardgames, and even lego and colouring books. We even arrived to a lovely welcome gift which included a pass to visit the national park. We loved our time at Saltwater Melody and can’t wait to return.

You will not be disappointed choosing this house for a getaway. It was the perfect place to stay for the last few nights of our Maritime adventure trip. The house is prefectly situated on a beautiful property that feels a million miles from the stresses on the world while being close to everything you need. Jenn is a fantastic host who is super responsive and has thought of everything to make your stay perfect. We especially loved the thoughtful local welcome gifts and recommendations on local restaurants.

Saltwater Melody instantly felt like home for us. The kitchen has everything needed for dining in. The beds are comfortable. Each room is beautifully decorated. The view of the bay is serene. The location is ideal for all of those day trips. And there were so many extras, the yummy scones upon arrival, games to play on those wet, windy days, books to read by the fireplaces, and our sons were thrilled to find legos! I want to return again and again. Great communication and warm hospitality. All the stars!

The house was beautiful, clean and very tasteful. The location in center Island is great for visiting all parts of PEI. Jenn was great in all of her communication. Would recommend for all Anne of Green Gable fans as this is very close.
