* Outdoor furniture and pergolas have been updated July 2025* Mountain house is a secluded 3 bedroom house with a seasonal pool, hot tub and goats just minutes away from New Hope, Lambertville, Peddler’s Village and many other local attractions. This house has rustic charm and is well suited for anyone who enjoys the quiet beauty of Bucks County country life while being only a stones throw from dozens of charming restaurants, bars, and galleries. This home is great for anything from a secluded romantic getaway or for families and groups looking for a relaxed country retreat. Bridal parties will enjoy staying here. Here are some details of this hill top estate:

This room is another sitting area with a gorgeous view of the property. This room has a half bath and is perfect for a quiet time sitting and reading one of our many art books.

BEDROOMS

Blue Room
This rooms windows look out on front yard. There is a king size bed, flat screen TV and one closet. We keep one single floor mat in this room.

Purple Room
This room has 2 queen size beds and a closet. Windows over look front and side yard with view of old tree house.

Pink Room
This room has a king size bed, private bathroom and beautiful view of front yard and old tree house. This is the room we keep the pack and play and a single size floor mat.

WINTER HOLIDAYS AT MOUNTAIN HOUSE

Thanksgiving- Perfect to host a family event with a fully stocked kitchen, we can provide seating for up 15 at the table and another 4 at card table if you wish.

Christmas - We will be decorating the house for christmas, complete with tree and lights all you need to do is come sit by the fire with your friends and family. For Christmas we are asking a 4 day minimum stay.

New Years Eve- Our secluded location is a perfect place to bring in the new years. Champagne toast in the hot tub!

Great stay and perfect location to all surroundings towns. Loved layout of home and so much room to spread out. Home away home with all the necessities. Beautiful backyard with so much wildlife. My family also loved the goats out front. Hope to come back for summer.

The mountain house was great, especially at Christmas as it was decorated. We went for a girlfriends’ getaway and had a great time! The house was charming and very roomy. The main living room had a very large fireplace and tv. We made a huge fire and watched Christmas movies. The house was very clean! Speaking of clean, the hot tub was super clean and you can control the heat. My only word of caution is the driveway. It snowed 6 inches while we were there and you can only get out if it gets plowed. David was super responsive and had it taken care of though. Mt. Hope is a great town!

This home is beautiful! Lots of bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a beautiful kitchen, and the hot tub was great. Very close to town, a nearby apple orchard, and the lot itself was beautiful as well. We had an issue during our stay from a downed tree that David was very responsive to. I appreciate his attention on this!

The Mountain House was very clean. It is in a very isolated location with a very long one lane driveway. We could see how renting this property in warmer weather would be ideal. New Hope has plenty to occupy you as well as many outdoor activities.

It was a great stay. The home is beautiful, spacious and private. Great way to spend with close friends or loved ones away from all the goings of city life but close enough if you need to make a run to a store. Would recommend anyone to book. The host is great and easy to get in contact with!

Hosts were friendly, responsive and helpful from start to finish. Property was great -we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location and didn't even venture out as we made our own fun at the house to maximize our 2-night stay there. Absolutely loved the goats, swam in the pool/hot tub, played pool and other games, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and grilling etc. Def recommend this property! So much character...

A place to create core family memories!!

The Mountain House was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family! We loved the rustic, quirky, artsy vibes there! The pool and hot tub were great for hot sunny days and balmy nights. It was wonderful to be able to see the pool from the glass windows of the main living area! The pool depth provided just the right combination for the 6 year old to the 14 year old! Everyone was able to relax, and the time was full of laughter and connections. We loved the history of the house (and the pianos, which were a little surprise that delighted me as a musician missing her piano back home!) David and Laura were very responsive and friendly. And the goats!!!… named by our granddears and visited often! All in all, a wonderful week… something that will, we know, become a core memory!!

Loads of Character

We had a great stay at this property, and it worked really well for our family gathering. David, the Host, was incredibly responsive, and the check-in/check-out process could not have been easier. The house was very spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. The outdoor property was a real highlight — peaceful, private, and the hot tub was a perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day. The adorable goats were a nice bonus.That said, the house could use a little updating and some general maintenance. A few things felt a bit worn, and some small repairs would make the experience even better. However, everything was clean, and the amenities we needed were available, which made it easy to enjoy our time together.Overall, it was a great place for a family trip, especially if you prioritize space, comfort, and outdoor features!

New Hope wedding visit

We were in New Hope for a family wedding. The Mountain House provided room for everyone. Our group ranged from 10 months to 71 years in age. The kiddos loved the goats, and had a great time exploring the property.

New Year’s Getaway

Our family had a wonderful New Hope getaway at the Mountain House. We played board games in front of the fireplace, played pool in the game room, enjoyed home cooked meals, and visited the town and Peddler’s Village. Thank you, David, for the hospitality!

Happy Thanksgiving

Our family’s premier holiday is Thanksgiving. We have spent Thanksgiving at our sister’s home for years in Bucks County with up to 30 people. Looked for a home nearby for 6 of us so there was another place for us to spend time together. Mountain House was absolutely perfect. The house, the kitchen and outdoors are extraordinarily well equipped. The library of art books, the paintings were enjoyed. The toy closet and pianos were a treat. One of our guests asked if the property was for sale. We hope to return. Thanks David!

“Pennsylvania’s Coolest House & Town”

A beautiful eclectic home !! Had a wonderful family girls trip celebrating my sister’s 65th birthday! This home was spacious with stunning views and accommodated all of our needs. We enjoyed that we were close enough to town and yet at the end of the day benefited from the privacy & uniqueness of this fabulous home , additionally, the goats were an added bonus to our fun . Lastly , David could not have been a better host !. Our needs were immediately addressed !! A++

Unforgettable weekend

Our stay couldn’t have better! The home was charming and just what you’d expect when in that area of historical PA. The goats were a delight as was the pool and hot tub. We especially enjoyed the campfire, and the peaceful, natural surroundings. We’d definitely return for another stay! David was a fantastic host-available for questions before and during our day.

A Very Rustic Fun Experience

Our family of 3 generations enjoyed The Mountain House. Although the house, hot tub and pool water were clean, we needed to remove a multitude of leaves from the pool daily.before swimming. The generator was a definite plus for summer storms as well as the plethora of towels, game room ( billiard table and pin pong) toys for children, and the goats which we enjoyed feeding. The only other drawbacks were the broken window blind wands in the bedroom and lack of garbage kitchen bags (glad we brought our own) and lack of an door garbage can for our long stay. . Perhaps having a house manager near by would aid in the upkeep of such items. David was a gracious host not only forthcoming in meeting a couple of our requests in a timely fashion, but always available to communicate with me for any questions I had prior to our arrival.. All in all, despite the rain we had a delightful vacation making memories.
