Relax in the evenings, looking at the stars and listening to the ocean on your private beach-front patio, or watch a movie in the theater room with 6 theater-style chairs. Working from home? No problem. We have a full office set-up with reliable wi-fi, printer, and copier + secluded office space. Worry-free once you arrive. Villa is 15-minutes away from the airport and we can arrange a car service to pick you up. Bedrooms overlook the ocean and the views from the inside and outside of the house are breathtaking.

Grocery store 10 mins from house. Ideal climate for recreation, leisure, or a corporate retreat. Easy to social distance and avoid crowds. Have an amazing vacation without needing to leave the property. Housekeeper provided a few hours midpoint with a weeks stay. Gardener and pool maintenance onsite a few days a week.

Tall building took away the sunshine for an hour or two and pool was not so warm because of it. Dishwasher didn’t dry properly and cutlery not so clean. The house was beautiful, old style, well equipped,lovely location, spacious, a delight.

Fabulous home for family and teenagers!

Shangri-la is in an excellent location with its proximity to BahaMar, downtown, and restaurants on both sides of the island. The outdoor space with the pool and beach are perfect for families of all sizes (we had 14 in our group ranging from ages 3yo up to 47yo). You can sit at the pool while kids play at the beach (or vice versa) and you are just 5 steps away from each other. The house has a great set-up, and the movie room was a perfect escape when the kids needed a break from the sun! Our older teenage boys loved having their own space in the guest house! The sunset was beautiful and the back patio area was our favorite gathering space each evening. Ms. Sally was awesome in providing references for drivers, chef, rentals, and more. Rhonda was great too, checking on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Appreciated the added security guard each night. He was friendly and professional. Had zero problems with the house...it was comfortable and perfectly accommodated our large group! Would definitely recommend to large families, especially those with kids of varying ages.

Nice House in a great location

We loved staying at Shangri la! There were several nice restaurants within walking distance, the kids were able to rent wave runners right from the house, and our boat charter picked us up from our beach. SUPER convenient! The house was lovely, beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well-stocked! The only minor inconvenience was the wave runner dudes flying by, pretty close to the shore. That was pretty annoying as we were a little nervous being out very far off the beach. (Not the fault of the owners, so what do ya do?!?!) If we come back to Nassau, we'd definitely stay here again.

Great Family Trip

This was a perfect beach vacation for our family with young kids. We did a few excursions but mostly enjoyed the property. Kids played at the beach & pool. Adults used the kayaks & paddle boards, corn hole, ping pong table and had plenty of time to relax. The house was equipped with everything you’d need for the week. Very comfortable & accommodating place to stay at! Loved the big kitchen for cooking. It was set up nicely with plenty of fridge space, dishes, pans, spices, etc. The view was incredible and had the most amazing sunsets.

Special trip with family.

Seven days in paradise! This property was perfect for our needs. Walking out of the house to a covered seating area, pool and patio overlooking the beautiful blue waters made each day perfect. The children, ranging in are from 2 to 13 were able to play on the beach and in the water under our constant supervision. The location on a cove protected us from wind and rough water creating the perfect place for relaxation. The home included kayaks and pedalboards enjoyed by kids and adults. Anyone considering this house should be aware that persons with mobility issues may face difficulties. They main floor is accessed by steps and bathrooms and bedrooms require navigating steps. There are steps down to the beach as well. We had a rental car during our stay and that really is necessary for trips to the store or restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked. During our stay we hired a chef to prepare some of our meals allowing us to concentrate on relaxation. Overall a wonderful experience and we would definitely return to the same house.

Worked well for our family. A little further walk than 5 minutes to resort. More like 20 minutes in the sand. Loved the view. Chef was ok. Not on time much. Masseuse was really good. Nail tech was not good. The house was good overall.

Great Location

All you need in one location for a relaxing vacation! Great pool plus kayaking, paddleboards and snorkeling gear. I recommend not to plan too many excursions or you'll miss out on all the house has to offer. I also highly recommend hiring the personal chef!

Great time

We traveled with 14 - 8 adults and 6 children. The manager and property manager where very communicative - from recommendations for transport to excursions to shopping and a chef. We took all of the recommendations and have no complaints. The property manager was prompt in responding to questions during the week - unfortunately we needed urgent care and she was quick to make a number of recommendations (don't start with the ER). Easy access to grocery stores and liquor stores (I suggest a rental car). Would definitely recommend the house for other large families - many generations. We'll definitely consider returning when the next family trip comes up.

A wonderful week at Shangrila

Our family of 15 (ages 4 months - 69) had a wonderful week at this property. We communicated with Sally several times pre trip and she was very helpful explaining things and giving recommendations. Rhonda our on site contact was friendly and very prompt answering any questions we had. Sally’s recommendation of using Cheryl’s Transportation was perfect for our group. We also had a fantastic day with Live 2 Fish another recommendation. The house is very well equipped with kitchen items - including spices and other staples so we didn’t have to buy them. The kids loved the pool, sand toys for the beach, and floaties. The large Connect 4 game, ping pong table and bags game also saw lots of use by kids and adults. Thanks again Sally and Rhonda for helping us make memories with our family.

Shangri-la la la

The house in itself is wonderful. There were numerous concerns and miscommunication issues related to property management. Communication with the property manager, house cleaning expectation vs delivery, night security, beach grasses and glass, are discussed below. Communication and expectations were poor. Trying to sell a second insurance policy for damages days before the rental, asking for catamaran info and provided fishing expedition info, car rental assistance, are but a few areas of concern. House keeping did not comply with agreement during check in, toilet paper was sparse, and security was appalling. Security guard was on site for 3 nites (in red truck in courtyard) then we found out he was hiding in the storage shed for 4 nights. Scared the crap out of us when some has been creeping on you for hours without your knowledge. He (security) stated the last person got so scared they fell into the pool when he peered out of the shed. Seriously messed up security system or a peeping Tom, your call. Beach area is grassy, except when they rack it on Saturday. Walking the beach one day I picked up 8 pieces of sharp glass walking from the house to GW resort and back. I would think this is a lot and with all the sea grass it’s sketchy. As for the experience-our family had a great time! Get a check list to communicate the in process procedure and align expectations with your guests. As for security, fix the problem with having someone coming out of a dark shed at 11pm.

Not as advertised

House keeping was poor with a number of stains on the furniture, floors were flitty, hair in the beds and on the wall. The bath tub drain was full of hair and not usable. Gas grill was out of gas and in very poor condition. Pool heater stopped working. The beach that is pictured is not usable as it is full of seaweed, neighboring properties owners have beach's cleaned. Hot water would only support 2 consecutive showers before running out! TV and WIFI were slow and TVs buffered most of the time and internet is very slow. There is security all night which is a good thing but speaks to the danger in the area. The house has a good layout and functional for a large group just isn't maintained that well for the price.

Amazing place on the beach, close (but not too close) to downtown Nassau.

Sally's place was just fantastic - a beautiful house on a beautiful beach, close (but not too close) to downtown Nassau. We spent our family Christmas there and everyone loved it. The kitchen was remarkably well provisioned, which was essential for preparing the Christmas meals and baked goods. Sally was extremely helpful as well, getting us tickets to Junkanoo and so forth.

What a great Villa with an unbelievable location. Sally, Tiffany and Chef Margie made the stay seamless w/ Chef prepared meals especially Thanksgiving that made our stay even more special to a bunch of foodies. Amazing location!

We had 18 total people (8 adults and 10 kids under 10) and the house was perfect for what we needed. It has an amazing pool, perfect for small kids, and right on the water! Every day and night we got to look at the amazing view and perfect sunsets. We also walked to Baha Mar easily on the beach a couple of the days for dinner and the water park. The kayaks and water tubes on-site were perfect! The kids took them out exploring every day to find sting rays, fish and the beautiful clear waters. The outdoor dining and couches is where we lived always; perfect and big enough to fit the kids for dinner and then for the adults. Rooms were great and all had en-suite bathrooms. There were two family rooms, which worked for having an adults and kids space. There was a guest house with two bedrooms, bath, kitchen and living room, but for our group it didn’t work because we wanted to all be in one place, but it seemed perfect for families with teens or a spot for a family to set up camp. Sally was so accommodating to have multiple communications to prepare for the trip. She was helpful with providing recommendations for a chef, boat captain, transportation etc. she was so accessible and it made our trip seamless. We had an amazing trip and made such amazing memories!!!

Great week on cable beach!

Property is as described! Great pool with incredible views. Great beach - had a lot of fun with the paddle boards and snorkel gear! Convenient location - both Sally and Tiffanie were awesome to work with ! We hired Chef Margie to come in and cook two nights for us- she was incredible. Great food; great service and reasonably priced! While we did not use him; check out sam at west bay adventures for a 1/2 day or full day boat excursion. This should not replace the Power boats excursion. - it was fantastic - but Sam will take you some places that are pretty cool as well!! We did take advantage of Sally’s rental car people- they delivered and picked it up. It was nice to have a vehicle. Grocery store runs, going out to dinner; etc. Our group was 9 people and we had more than enough room!! Thanks Sally!!

2022 Family Vacation

Sally and Tiffany were awesome to work with and Chef Margie was fantastic and a sweetheart!! Lots of fun things to do at the house! We rented a boat on Wednesday but spent the rest of the time at the house and it was wonderful.
