This is the worst experience we have ever had with lodging. Two weeks before our anticipated arrival, I received a phone call from the property telling me they were overbooked and *might* have to cancel my reservation- they said they would call me back within the hour to let me know for sure. They never called back. I called a few days later to confirm, as I already paid for our stay, and was told they were still overbooked but I would have a room. A week before our stay, they called again to ask me what days I would be there for my stay. The day of check in, we arrived from out of town and went directly to the office to ensure we had a room. Our room was not ready for check in but I was given the key, and told I would able to check in at 4pm. We went to the beach & could finally relax knowing we had a place to stay! We went to our room at 4pm and unlocked the door with the key we were given and imagine our surprise when another guest opened the door! They were given the same key. And apparently the same thing happened to them. I went to the front office, which was then closed- but thankfully there was still someone around who unlocked the door. She acted all confused and asked me to wait in the lobby while she made some phone calls. She came out and gave me a key to another unit. No apologies made. Absolutely ridiculous!
