The noise from the construction was horrible and constant and it would have been nice to know that was going on before we booked. Extremely loud construction cranes are right outside the hotel obstructing the view of the ocean. I was overcharged by $56 at the bar my first night here, bartender tried to give me a cash refund of the difference even though my card was charged for the full amount and it took the her 30 minutes to void the transaction and solve the issue. The employees exchanging towels at the pool are slow, rude, and acted like they couldn't be bothered to swap out our towels. When I asked the front desk for directions to the bar she replied rudely to me and did not answer my question. The fridge in the room was old and loud, the lights constantly flickered, and the dishwasher leaked water all over the floor. The hotel has a policy that they do not hold food delivery for their guests. This was not told to us. We ordered food delivery and it took 5 minutes to get to the lobby to pick it up, the driver was gone. The desk workers told me they do not hold food for guests per hotel policy. We were charged for the food and never received it. The driver was sent away by the desk manager. I complained about this, to Mariel, and was told someone would call me momentarily to talk about this issue, at 11am. No one called us. An employee entered our room at 830am despite the door being locked and do not disturb sign posted. We were not fully clothed, it was shocking.
