"The owners were very sweet and accommodating. The room was great. The heater was noisy, but I closed the bedroom door and put my earplugs in. The handle on the shower was hard to operate. I would suggest more lighting going down the stairs to my car. But overall, I thought the place was charming and saw a doe and her FAWN in the morning. It also would’ve been nice to have some ice in the refrigerator."

"The owner is all about making sure you’re comfortable. Very accommodating and serves up delicious coffee and muffins! We were pleasantly impressed by the Victorian Inn and Ferndale. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Old time decor and a fun destination. The on site restaurant and bar was really good. My only issue, which is always my issue, it was expensive, but in this case it was worth it."

"We had an awesome stay at Redwoods River Resort! The location couldn’t be better nestled right near the Avenue of the Giants with beautiful river access just steps away. We were stoked to find the pub open and spent a relaxing evening with cold beers and a few games of shuffleboard. Our room was super clean and cozy, with a convenient kitchenette that made cooking easy. We also learned about all the fun events and yearly competitions the resort hosts now we’re already planning a return trip so...

"Great location. Near Eel River and Dean Creek. Friendly check in. Check in time was 4 pm but we arrived at 1:30 pm and our room was already available. The water was shut off due to a plumbing issue but it was resolved in 20 minutes. Meanwhile Lisa, the manager, gave us a free gallon of water. Very close to the Avenue of the Giants and Shelter Cove. "

"Very nice lady at the front desk. She gave me restaurant recommendations and showed me a menu from the one she highly recommended. The room was very nice, clean and overlooked the pool area. Great place to stay. I can’t say much for the town though—quite run down!"

"The room was very charming and comfortable. Friendly staff and the rate was very affordable given the proximity to the redwood's state park. The floor could have been cleaner, but we have stayed in far worse. The nearby neighborhood is a bit rundown and the bar next door was a bit sketch on the night we were there."

"Loved the property and how cute it was. There was some general disrepair around the place though. The staff made up for it by being incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn’t anything exceptional but it did the job. Appreciated it being pet friendly and its location. The whole area is beautiful as you are in redwood country. "
