The building is very historic, especially the dining room in the 1799 part of the building with the ancient timbers and two gorgeous stone fire places. We split an order of the beef stew. "The room was great and it was cheap, it was one of the only hotels that a 19 year old could book, the room was clean and the staff were very nice, the pool was warm and it felt like a $100+ a night hotel but it was $85 a night in downtown Bardstown, I would definitely go again and I recommend anyone staying in Bardstown to stay at this hotel, it’s right in downtown close to many restaurants."

"We stayed at the Trail Hotel recently and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back. The pool was definitely a highlight. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We apparently lost power in the middle of the night on the last night but did not notice. They provided complimentary breakfast due to the inconvenience. Whether you want to experience the great bourbon trail or just relax all day at the hotel, this is a must stay. "

The biggest breakfast selection I've personally ever seen staying at a hotel. The only downside of our stay was that the pool was too cold for us to swim in.
