Santa's Shack Studio - Near Pictured Rocks

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Santa's Shack Studio! One of 3 units available at same site. The Studio has a king bed and a twin bunk bed. Great location just off of M-28 behind the White Pine Motel and less than 5 miles from Munising. It's close to Pictured Rocks, ORV trails, many waterfalls and lighthouses. The casino is within walking distance, as well as Foggy's Steakhouse. If there's a large group, combine with our other 2 units on the same site under separate listing and together they can sleep up to 15 people.

This is a ground floor unit and all recently remodeled with that up north feeling including tongue and groove pine ceiling and a twin log bed. It is a cozy, little studio, so there are no private bedrooms. The bathroom shower is small as well, so tall and/or large guests may have a tight squeeze. While the home is conveniently located right off of M28, there is not much for a view or privacy when hanging outside as the apartments all have the view of the back of the White Pine Lodge and the gas station. There is a fire pit and picnic table that is shared with the other apartments in the backyard for your use.

Our guests here have full access to the Studio and also have access to the fire pit in backyard. They do not have access to either of the 2 units in the building next to Studio, nor to their patio areas.

We live nearby if you should need anything but will not come over unless you ask us to. If you have any questions/concerns, please message through the app or text or call if an emergency.

Walking distance to Foggy's Steakhouse, Christmas Casino, gas station/party store, and less than a mile to snowmobile/ORV trailhead. Less than 5 miles to downtown Munising and all of the Pictured Rocks boat tours, kayak rentals, etc.

The heater for the Studio is a natural gas wall heater and it will get hot to the touch. If bringing little ones during heating season, please beware. Also, the shelf above the heater is removable for easier access to heater controls.

Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. Primary guest will need to send a picture of government issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group.

There are exterior audio/video recording equipment on 24/7 and motion activated. There are 3 cameras, one facing Studio entry door, one facing front entry doors under the entry arch, and one facing exterior back door.

It was such a cozy little spot! Danielle the hostess was attentive to all my messages! Sucks the gas station near us was closed as we were snowmobiling. The trails were also rose hard! We will come back again! 5 Stars!!

We adored this little cabin. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our family of four. Excellent location … nestled between beautiful beaches (highly recommend watching the sunset) and Munising (kayaking, water falls, hiking). Check in and check out was a cinch! Would definitely stay here again. ❤️

Communication was great. Easy access. Convenient if travelling with kids with the bunk beds. There is also a pull out futon that could sleep another 2 people. Kitchen completely stocked with all necessities. We liked the location, just outside of Munising and across the street from a great affordable Steackhouse. The king bed was nice, but a little on the soft side.

Finding the perfect place during high tourist season was a challenge. This studio apt was ideal for me. As a solo traveler, I look for safe, clean, comfortable and near where I want to be. All my needs were met. A S'mores kit was even provided! My only problem was learning the trick of getting the locking system to work in the bright sunshine. It took several tries. Once I knew what it was suppose to look like, I had no problems afterwards. The number pad screen was near impossible to see in the afternoon light.

We needed a small place to be our base of operations for a few days while we kayaked and hiked. This was a perfect setup for our family of four to use. Very convenient location for the area as we were able to kayak, hike and explore Pictured Rocks as well as visit both Munising and Marquette while in town. The studio was outfitted with everything we needed and the owner was very responsive and proactive to making sure we had what we needed.

We had a great stay at our little cottage in Christmas! It is perfectly situated between Au Train and Munising. I loved that it was a little away from the "hustle and bustle" of Munising. Danielle gave us so much to do while we were there, and everything was spot on! We loved having a picnic at the Au Train beach. The house was the perfect size for us and felt very quaint. Everything was perfect and clean. The beds were very cozy and the hosts have lots of amenities in the kitchen and the bathroom. The check-in and out process was super easy and smooth. My son (11 years old) said this was the best vacation he's ever had and he can't WAIT to come back. I highly recommend this property!

The property was great and the host is so cute, she had a welcome note written for us on the fridge. she left us tons of hygiene and cooking supplies in case we needed them, and even stuff to make s'mores. All of those details really made this a great experience. Can't wait to go back.

This is a great unit with plenty of space for a group of adults! It could easily accommodate more people than we had, including kids and or families. It was clean and had what we needed for our weekend away. My group was getting out of the cold midwest winters and enjoyed the unit as well as the grounds of the property. The pool is a short walk from the unit and is a great size pool that didn't feel overly crowded. We enjoyed that there was a bar/restaurant at the pool. We also enjoyed the walking path just outside the condo for morning walks/runs. The proximity to grocery store and restaurants was also great! I would come back to this unit in the future!

What a great place to stay! Perfect for a couple or small family. We came in for 3 nights for a snowmobile trip and it worked out great. It had everything we needed, was within walking distance to the casino, convenience store and Foggy’s (the best steakhouse in the UP)! It was so welcoming and the owner was very prompt in her responses when I reached out. We will definitely be back with the kids next time!

We had a fabulous stat at Santa‘s Cabin. It was a nice place to relax after a long days adventure(s). Comfortable, clean, with all the necessities for cooking if needed. Close to good food and great hiking/biking. Highly recommend!!

We loved our stay at Santa's Shack Studio. It was easy to find, just off the highway. When we had a question about check in, responses were very prompt. The cabin felt cozy and it was very convenient to get to Munising or Pictured Rocks. Driving to Munising took about 10 minutes. The cabin has a heater and air conditioning unit, and we could tell it was well insulated because it did not get that cold, even overnight! The beds were extremely clean, plates and some cooking utensils were provided, and they even provided marshmallows for us! We highly recommend this place!
