  • The Blue Laurel cabin is nestled in the beautiful little town of Mountain Rest, SC. Relax in the peacefulness & serenity of nature on the private front or back porch of this little piece of heaven in the woods. The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests with a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa located in the living area. Enjoy the firepit, horseshoe pit or 2 hammocks while grilling. Located 5 minutes from the sparkling Chattooga River and 25 minutes from Highlands-NC, Cashiers-NC, Clayton-GA and only 15 minutes from the quaint little town of Walhalla with a multitude of eateries and fine shops. Come enjoy the many local waterfalls, scenic rivers, hiking trails, and the newly constructed Stumphouse Mountain Biking Park alongside the historic Stumphouse Tunnel. The local Fly shop can assist you with all your fishing accessories. We are a short 18-minute drive to Chattooga Belle Farm which provides a great selection of farm to table staples as well as Wine tasting. Come relax and refresh your soul with us! We are pet friendly, limit of 2, less than 50#. Dogs must be crated/kenneled if left unattended on/inside the premises.

We had a wonderful time at Blue Laurel. The cabin is exactly as described, clean and very well cared for. We appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the host and check in and out, as well as the fact that the cabin was perfect for the whole family -- adults, kids and dogs. We'd definitely like to return some day!

This was one of the cleanest properties I’ve ever stayed at! The cabin had everything we needed for our weekend and was so nice and comfortable. Melissa was a fantastic host and left us with plenty of snacks and gave great insight on things to do and places to visit in the area. Everywhere was well within driving distance. So many fun things to do in the area. Will definitely be back!

WONDERFUL Stay!!!!

The house was so clean and the host was EXCELLENT!!! We have stayed at a lot of places and by far this was the nicest. The host knew it was our anniversary and went to great lengths to have special goodies and flowers for us to enjoy.

A beautiful cabin in the woods with a wonderful charcuterie bowl left in the refrigerator for us to enjoy, after a day of activities. The property was very well maintained with various outside activities.

Very nice home

We were very impressed with this home. It was just my husband and me, so perfect size. The outside is as pleasant as the inside with a great porch, hammocks and fire pit. Fantastic find!

This beautiful mountain cabin feels like you are tucked away from the world without actually being in a remote location. It felt like a combination between a mountain cabin and bed & breakfast. The hosts truly go above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend!

Relaxing retreat in nature

This cabin was very nice and well furnished! The host thought of everything - games for us to play, snacks, and even a bottle of wine to welcome us! It was a perfect getaway for just the 2 of us to get away from it all! Wel'l definitely be returning!!
