We needed someplace for the family to stay during overrunning renovations to our home due to a fire. Pet friendly was the key, and most appreciated. Amber Sunset was great, good location, adequately equipped, big enough for the family, awesome view! We greatly appreciated getting the stay extended due to continuing delays,(even moved someone booked behind us). that eliminated another interim move that can be a challenge.

My girlfriends and I had such a relaxing 4 days in this house. Watched movies, relaxed watching the river flow by and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Would love to stay there again.

The house was great. Master bathroom could use some sanding for re-tightening the hinges as the door has sagged and does not shut tight. The main bathroom has 2 shower curtains in it and runs the risk of a lot of water on the floor. Should have and inside curtain to prevent that.Was awesome place to stay!!!

Excellent property and good communication with owner. The check in process was easy and found the place clean and as described. Great view and perfect location for the activities we had planned. Easy access to the hood river and gorge area and also the Mount hood and Hood River Valley (Fruit Loop) locations. Plus you can hike to a really nice waterfall right from the neighborhood! Great place and thanks for making our trip to Oregon enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay here! The property is a bit dated, and the bunk beds are squeaky, but the view is on point. The house had everything we needed for a weekend away with friends and our dogs!

We loved Hood River and Mosier. The river view from this house is amazing but like several others commented, the I-84 noise from the deck is hard to adjust to. The kitchen was sell stocked and the beds were comfortable. Our overall impression, however, is the house was in pretty sad shape. The front and back yard had been totally neglected (see pictures), a tree was growing into the roof, the toilet paper holder had pulled out of the wall, the kitchen light plexiglass covers were cut too short so kept falling out, 2 of the 4 florescent lights in the kitchen were working, and 1 of the 4 in the garage was working. There was an air hockey table in the lower level with no pucks and did not work (that I moved to their storage area). This place is managed by "Arrived - Your Vacation Rental Destination". I don't know if property maintenance is included in their contract, but this management company (or the owner) should be thoroughly embarrassed by the condition this property was it. After we called to complain, the mgmt company sent over a landscaper to clean up the worst of the front and back yard weeks. I replaced several florescent light tubes and properly attached the TP holder to the wall.

We enjoyed our time in Mosier. The house had plenty of room, a very comfortable couch, and was located within easy access to plenty of activities. The house has some quirks and was in rougher shape than the pictures. There may be some foundation issues as there are uneven floors. That being said, the beds were comfortable, there was lots of space, and the view was amazing! This is a great home for a family or larger group.

All about the view

The view from the deck, kitchen, living room, and back bedroom is fabulous! Kind of takes your breath away when you first walk in. Communication with host was prompt, and I like that they checked with us at the beginning of the stay to see if we needed anything. It is indeed spacious. The Mosier Plateau Trailhead is within walking distance of this rental. Negatives are that some of the furnishings need updating or repair. It could use redecorating. And having the only key in a lockbox is inconvenient compared to opening the door with a keypad.

The home was as advertised and the view was even more stunning than the listing photos. Very clean and no problem with the internet. It was easy to find and good proximity to Hood River (which has great restaurants and very nice riverside park). We went on a few scenic drives that were really beautiful. Deck furniture is great but in need of new (thicker) cushions. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Can't beat the view

The house was exactly what was needed to enjoy a long weekend at the Gorge. Great location for hiking, biking, and enjoying Hood River. The view was fantastic.

The view from the house was amazing.However,The house was not very clean. The walks in the living area & bathrooms are dirty.There was buid up around the kitchen faucet. Sinks in all bathrooms were a little backed up when running water. The lower level had centipedes crawling all over & the outside lawn looks like it hadn’t been touched all year. So we couldnt enjoy using the bsck yard.

Amazing Views, Comfortable Stay

Loved the views, they were truly amazing. The couch and the master bed were comfortable. Loved that we had access to back-up supplies as needed, and the washer and dryer. We were grateful for that. Conveniently located between Hood River and the Dalles which was perfect for our needs. Overall, we really enjoyed this property. The views and comfort compensated for a few things that need to be addressed. Batteries need to be replaced in the remotes, we looked for back-ups and could not find any. No instructions on how to use the speakers when we wanted to watch a movie. We wondered when a deep clean had been last performed and there were several examples of deferred maintenance. For example: The yard (although it is fall) was a bit of a mess, the rugs & carpets upstairs are stained, the queen bed is rickety and any time you move, the bed wobbles and creaks which makes it tricky to be rested. We wanted to take a bath in the amazing tub, but the drain plug was broken and water just drained when we tried to fill the tub. The kitchen sink and around that is damaged from years of use and has been glued and held together somehow. Not enough silverware for a full group. It would be nice to have a large enough cooking sheet for pizza. The interior could really use a fresh coat of paint, just feels worn inside. Not updated since the 90s it seems that part is fine. We were happy to stay, we wondered if we should share the items that need to be remedied. Thank you!
