  • Sunset Lake Hacienda is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with 2 lakes on 35+ acres. This private and spacious space has a 15 acre lake right out your back door and another 6 acre lake on the lower part of the property. Secluded enough to allow for privacy but only 5.9 miles from Montrose Regional Airport. 1800 sqf. of completely remodeled home with knotty pine doors and trim. Lots of room to spread out and all of the amazing sunsets you can handle. You have found it all right here.

Very nice place and close to everything we wanted to do. Felt very much like a home away from home. Because of the drought the lake was a little low but was still beautiful and would love to see the property when not in drought. We enjoyed watching the geese and other water birds on our walks around the lake. The sunsets over the lake are amazing.

The check-in and check out process was smooth with clear instructions. When we arrived, there were complimentary snacks on the dining room table and the hosts also gave us complimentary dozen eggs from their chickens. There was a great laundry area and plenty of space for our family of 6 to sleep, eat and relax during our stay. The hosts were very responsive to questions during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay here with our pup. The place was so comfortable, well stocked, clean and the view of the sunset from the back deck was amazing. Jason was very responsive and offered to provide us with information about things to do. We definitely will be back again. Other reviews mentioned the state of the rest of the neighborhood, but honestly, you don't even see it once you are on the property and was a non-issue.

Great stay

Sunset Hacienda is clean, comfortable and well kept, and the hosts were helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay and the place...and the sunsets were great!

They’re not kidding about the sunsets. So gorgeous. We had a great stay here. Plenty of space in the home for the family to spread out and spend time together.

We had a delightful stay here. Jason did a wonderful job customizing this house with lots of wood & thoughtful design. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is spacious & you enjoy the sunrise out of one side & the sunset out of the other. Highly recommend

Very nice place

We very much enjoyed our stay. we enjoyed the lovely sunset, the peace and quiet, and the comfortable beds. We spent one day exploring the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and one day on Grand Mesa. Both were great!

Great house in central location

This property was wonderful! Very clean and private. It was centrally located to all the hikes we wanted to do. Also, great communication with the owners. Definitely recommend!

Clean and Quiet

The cottage is clean, quiet and well-equipped. Lots of room and a pleasant view of the pond that’s on the property. We also liked being close to Black Canyon NP - our primary reason for staying in Montrose. We would return to this property.

Peaceful backyard.

The inside of the home is updated and is also very welcoming and comfortable. The bedrooms were also larger than expected. Jason was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The fishing and the view made this a great family vacation and we hope to return again one day.
