I recently stayed at LHotel and found the experience to be somewhat mixed. The room itself was acceptable, but it felt a bit dated, and I noticed the floors were not as clean as expected. I had also hoped for more original architectural details or design elements that reflected the building’s 1800s heritage, which would have added significantly to the overall charm.
There were a few service and maintenance issues that stood out. The towels provided were worn and slightly torn, and there was no liquid hand soap available in the room. Additionally, when I called the front desk to request a fork, I was asked to come down and pick it up myself, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.
That said, there were some highlights. The continental breakfast, particularly the chocolatines and coffee, was excellent, and the lobby and common areas are quite impressive and inviting.
Overall, I feel that with a bit more investment and closer attention to detail, this hotel has the potential to move from above average to truly excellent.
