We really enjoyed our stay in Gigi’s modern, clean, convenient and well appointed apartment. All communication, both written and in-person, was prompt, detailed and helpful. Gigi recommended restaurants and even made the reservations for us. The flat is very recently redone and the excellent craftsmanship is obvious. We didn’t cook but the kitchen has everything you would need. Bathroom has bidet, rain shower and wand and excellent water pressure. Screens on all windows allows for fresh air without worrying about bugs. No water view, which we knew, but in this area that saves you climbing a massive amount of stairs - the trade off was easy for us. That said, everything you need, including restaurants, shops, grocery and the beach/water is minutes (or less) away. The bed and pillows were memory foam and absolutely delightful. Separate wall mounted A/C units in living and bedroom are new, remote controlled and very effective. Brand new clothes washer was fantastic as we’d been traveling for a week before coming to Monterosso - Gigi even supplied detergent pods. Wall mounted TV in living room went unused but the WiFi didn’t and was fast and reliable. All windows and doors can lock, including the front door which has multiple deadbolts provide a strong sense of security even though Monterosso seems very quiet and safe. There is also a locked metal door to access the steps leading to the front door. Needless to say, we highly recommend the flat for location, quality and value.
