"We booked this lovely property to celebrate my mums 60th which was absolutely perfect..as she didn’t want a fuss and somewhere to relax and have some scenery which didn’t disappoint, we arrived slightly earlier than check in time and we were able to check, thanks to Ari! "Cosy retreat, away from the hustle and bustle. Simplistic but everything we needed. Beautiful walks. Great and safe for our elderly dog who enjoyed the freedom. Good location to visit lochs etc."

"This is a fantastic cottage in an adorable village. It has rolling hills, a burn and lots of sheep! The cottage itself was quite large and was fit for our family of 6, including adult children and their spouses. It was clean, decorated well and rather comfortable. There are amenities within walking distance such as a pub, museum, etc. We wished we had stayed longer and we'll definitely return!"

"Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before."

"Having stayed in Wanlockhead for a week at the end of June 2021, this property seemed like an ideal overnight stay during a house move from the the South Coast to Aberdeen. Within easy distance of the M74 and very peaceful. Loved the bold décor. Excellent nights rest , the downstairs bed was very comfortable and the property spotlessly clean."
