Lake location is perfect with a flat lot for easy lake access, outstanding views plus a perfect swimming cove. Great amenities -2 refrigerators, Water Slide, Ping-pong, 2 kayaks, pickleball & tennis, basketball court and badminton! SEE Drone VIDEO in pics. Rental is strictly limited to 8 guests.

Covepoint sits far from the road on flat lot with over 240 feet of shoreline wrapping both main channel and quiet swimming cove. Grill and dine on the expansive deck that wraps half of the house with gorgeous views of both main channel and serene cove. Spend your days on the deep-water dock lounging on large sectional sofa while taking in arguably the best views of the lake, park and mountain, or swimming or sunbathing from the dock. Cap your perfect days with a campfire around the firepit or a game of ping-pong.

* From mid-June through September we only rent weekly (7 nights) Saturday to Saturday.

Weekly rentals are Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is 3pm. Check-out time is 10am.

By Bedford County rental laws, occupancy limited to 8 adults (defined as over the age of 2 years). That is, only children age 2 or younger do not count in the total. You may book using the "Book-it" feature and pay by credit card or check. You must be at least 26 years of age to rent. No Pets allowed.

A better host we have not found in our frequent VRBO stays. They were quick to respond to questions and the property was the perfect stay. The house was very clean, the layout ideal, and the views beautiful. We truly appreciated the ease this property offered for my mother-in law who has mobility issues. The gentle slope to the dock allowed her to use a walker to make her way safely. The main floor layout was perfect for our family with everything we needed on that level. We loved gazing at the many deer that frequented the property. A very small recommendation would be to allow some free cupboard space for renters to place their food items in off the countertop, but this is such a minimal concern. We would definitely return to the property and we thank the kind hosts for opening their home up to our family.

Perfect As Usual

This was the second year staying here and it was just as consistent as the last! The property owner is on top of her game and is easy to get a hold of if need be. The house is always clean and ready to go. The location is perfect and such an easy walk down to the lake! Can't wait to go back next year!

Amazing lake home

Our family had an amazing stay at Covepoint! The home was beautifully decorated and provided all the comforts of home. There was space and activities for all ages to enjoy! The covered dock was amazing and where we spent most of our time relaxing while the kids used the water slide and swam in the lake. We will definitely be back!

Perfect location and views

We have been visiting the lake for 10 years and have seen many houses. There aren't many with better dock views. The Host is great at communicating and their being nearby is helpful should any issue arise.

Week on the Lake

Wonderful week with my family. Super easy registration and checkout process. Communication with owner was seamless and quick. Docked my boat for the week and had easy access to some excellent fishing on SML. I can’t recommend Cove Point enough. We found home on SML.

The house was exactly as listed in the property details. Great location on the lake and the house was a perfect set up for a girls weekend trip at the lake! Steph was very responsive when we had questions for her. Would 10/10 stay here again.

Smith Mountain Lake Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this property from 8/10-8/17. Stephanie was a terrific host and was easy to communicate with during the week. The house was terrific with plenty of space for all eight of us. The extra’s provided with the stay(kayaks, ping pong, house with everything one would need)were great. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and we look forward to another visit in the future.

Amazing

What a wonderful property with everything you could need to have a great time! Clean and spacious, with a great view and all around wonderful atmosphere for a family who needs an easy walk to the lake. "The hostess with the mostest" was available for easy communication throughout the entire stay.

Loved our stay at Smith Mountain Lake - house and dock were perfect for our family of 6 including grandchildren ages 15 and 11 - brought our boat and used the kayaks and paddleboard provided by hosts. Stephanie was very quick to address a dryer issue! Great week !!!!

Great Lake Get Away

Awesome location on a beautiful lake. House was clean and a great set-up for 2 families. Everything was just as described. The owner was very responsive to questions we had before the trip. We were able to dock our boat rental and our college-aged kids loved kayaking and swimming in the cove. We had a great week!

We ♥️ Smith Mountain Lake and this house is a hidden jewel!

This rental property was amazing!!! We could not be happier with our week at SML. The house had absolutely everything we needed and with all the extra touches provided we felt right at home. The beds were very comfortable and there is an abundance of space for lounging and family games. We loved the access to the lake(mere steps from the house) and the ease of docking a boat (we rented one for a few days). I normally rate rentals with the stars and a then a few quick comments but I really wanted to convey that this rental property goes down as one of our top 5! We travel a lot and with a large group it’s very hard to please everyone but this house exceeded our expectations. The owners are fantastic to work with and very prompt in answering any questions that may arise. They certainly love their home as it shows in every aspect and now we do too!

A new family favorite!

This was our first time visiting SML - can't beat this home's location. On the water, spacious and very clean! The owner, Stephanie is very communicative and ensures you have all the essentials. We have rented many homes on VRBO - this is a new family favorite. We will be returning!

Great stay. Great property.

The house was amazing. Kitchen very well stocked. Location on the lake was great. Most places have a lot of steps or steep grade to the dock, but this one did not. Had mother in law with mobility issues so the walk to the dock was perfect for her. Covered dock with a sofa to hang out on. Floating dock for the kids to swim off of. A floating slide also for the kids. A fire pit, which we unfortunately did not use. 2 kayaks to use. Reasonably located to grocery store and a marina to rent boat from. We plan on contacting Stephanie again to use in the future. Thank you Chris and Stephanie.

Rainy vacation

We have stayed at this house before. It has always been enjoyable. It’s a very nice lot with a gentle slope to the water and the house is large enough to accommodate eight people easily. Unfortunately during this week we had 45 days of nonstop rain.
